While Ageha decided she'd never say it out loud, Spencer and Finn could be helpful sometimes. Sort of. They were both loud, annoying, obnoxious morons... but they were being helpful enough for once by getting Ryan out of the house. It had been an hour and she'd only gotten a few messages on CUBE—a bit of whining, then a picture of an elaborate plate of pasta. The house was as fully decorated as possible. Silver and lavender balloons drifted along the floor and into ceiling corners, the kitchen was ready and waiting for a spread, and the food was... happening. Where was Sang-min?! And what was taking the guests so long!? Spencer and Finn could keep Ryan occupied, but only for so long until he started whining about being tired. The two of them had helped out with guests, too, extending invites to everyone Ryan knew and—surely through Finn's big mouth—several people Ryan didn't know well at all. On her end, she'd given very clear instructions for the guests: - No flannel or plaid
- No holes
- Everyone had to wear something purple. (Ageha had personally settled for purple lipstick; it still counted!)
She just hoped Ryan wouldn't try to duck out of the party; she'd worked too hard for this! With nothing else to do, she leaned against the back of one of the living room sofas, debating over whether to watch TV or text someone she knew was coming. Minnie hovered near her, alternating between sniffing Ageha's ankles and raising up on her hind legs, batting at Ageha for attention, vocalizing her agitation with tiny, breathy whines.

Nanami spent far too long getting ready - she had to find a nice dress, which wasn't too hard. The hard part was finding one in purple! She didn't own that much purple. Luckily for her, she had a cute dark purple dress (with lacey sleeves and details, the best part) she'd bought in Canada and forgot about.
So, after gathering her bag and umbrella due to the persistent summer rain, she slipped on a pair of wedges and met Nori before making her way to Ageha's. She knew the way there so well she could probably (definitely) walk it in her sleep. Backwards. The walk there wasn't too eventful, save for Nanami's constant dodging of puddles forming on the sidewalk.
Soon enough, she sent a CUBE message to Ageha.
I'm here! Well... we're here, I met with Nori on the way!

Nori was concerned he wouldn't be allowed in. Of course, he knew Ryan—he was friends with Ageha, who was very close to Nanami, so they'd been around each other a lot—but Ageha was... a different case. He still couldn't be in her presence without receiving frosty, narrow-eyed looks. She might have accepted his gift (a large bag of assorted candies, since Nanami told him Ryan liked sweet things), and told him to leave!
He'd been able to find something purple, though. It took him some digging, but he turned out to have an old shirt with purple in the design printed onto it; surely it was good enough for the party.
But what would he do if Ageha really forced him to leave? He had no other plans.

Crystal had indeed gotten Ageha and Finn's invitation for the party. She pulled out her phone as she walked out of the house, sending a reply that she was finally on her way. I am on my way! Had to clean up in the bakery. Sorry about the delay!
She had decided to wear a simple purple dress, reaching mid-thigh. The sleeve and ribbon around the waist were lace. Hanging purple and blue swirling earrings hung from Crystal's ears as she tucked some stray strains of hair behind them while she opened her umbrella. Holding it up, she finally left her grandmother's house and began her way to Ageha's house with a smile.

Kage hadn't been surprised by Finn's invitation. The Orchestra was really helping the drama club out, preparing the music for the upcoming school play. She HAD, however, been surprised to recieve one from Ageha. They weren't on the best of terms, bonding only on their mutual dislike for Finn. In truth, he frightened Kage and he knew it. She was only grateful he respected her enough not to get in her face. She had specifically met Ryan through Finn and the two had become pretty good friends. Even more so when she began dating Crystal.
Finding something purple hadn't been a problem for Kage. It WAS her favorite color. Not only was she NEVER seen without the purple star she wore in her hair, but she wore a t-shirt bearing the image of a purple-dressed fairy. The t-shirt was acompanied by baggy chain-covered pants, purple bracelets, and a spiked choker....as well as the amber locket her mother had given her.
"Forgive me, Miss Treasa!" Naoko opened the front door, arms full of grocery bags. Kage took them and helped Naoko carry them into the kitchen. Kage assured her it was alright. Now that Naoko was home to keep an eye on Keagan(Kage had to remind herself their grandmother still treated him like a child), she could leave. She shot a quick message to Ageha.
Leaving now. Had to wait for the maid to get back to watch Keagan. I swear Gran thinks he's still a child.
A familiar head of bouncing golden hair caught her eyes and Kage had to smile. Purple really wasn't Crystal's color, but she wasn't about to point it out. She was just happy to see her. "Gaol!" she called. It was a petname, the Gaelic word for 'love'. She caught up to Crystal, looping her arm through the taller girl's. "Hello, dear."

Oh. Well now everyone was showing up.
Ageha tapped out replies to Crystal and Kage—'Just let yourselves in. The door will be unlocked' to the both of them—and set her phone down on one of the side tables nearest to the sofa. Her dumb shorts pockets were too small. She bent to scoop Minnie into her arms. It wouldn't be good to have her running around Nanami's feet and risk tripping over her as she came in, and she didn't trust Nori not to step on her or something. He had huge, stupid feet, after all!
Within seconds, Ageha answered the front door.
"It took you long enough," she tossed out, mostly to Nanami. Minnie yipped and tried to wriggle out of Ageha's arms.

A party! A pair of bright green eyes shone excitedly as the limo she rode passed the houses. Beside her sat a rather pissed- off looking red head.
Kai hardly noticed, though; in fact, she was practically bouncing in her seat in anticipation; when Suzu- Chan and Yuri- Chan had invited her to this part, she hadnt hesitated for a second before accepting, and promising her big sister would joining her, though that had taken quite a bit of convincing. (Begging.)
Their driver dropped the Ohime sisters off at the house and Kagami wasnt even outside yet by the time that Kai had reached the door, knocking enthusiastically. The girl wore her hair in its normal ponytail, with a bright pink bow. She wore a dress with a white top, and a large bow accentuation her chest, and a ruffled pink skirt and pink shoes with just enough heels to add a bit to her height.
In her hands was a wrapped box; she didnt know the boy the party was for, and she hadnt known what to get him. And so, she had picked the thing she was always excited about receiving as a present; inside the box was a blueberry- filled white chocolate cupcae, the very treat her mother brought her whenever she came home. There was also a greeting card that Kai had enthusiastically signed.
When the door was opened in response to her knocking Kai would smile enthusiastically. "Hi! My names Ohime, Kai! Suzu and yuri inviited me? uh, us." She smiled, a blindingly bright smile that would have charmed just about anyone.

Souta should have known that when Ageha pitched the idea of a surprise party for Ryan that he'd be helping in some way. And by that he meant 'forced to help' in some way. All of the decorating had been done and he'd been banished upstairs to get changed and prepare the party ribbons. At least this way, everyone would have some purple! Even if it had to be forced on them! But half an hour of making purple bows and putting safety pins in the back was getting tiresome, and why were they called safety pins? He'd pricked himself at least four times!
By the time he'd finished with all the badges he headed downstairs, looking disgruntled. Although, he did have to admit he looked pretty good, with or without the band aids! He had a collared purple shirt with a black t-shirt underneath, black jeans, and purple socks. He was definitely ready to dazzle tonight. As always.
When he finally reached the bottom and put the box of ribbon badges down by the bottom of the stairs there still seemed to be nobody around. Well, Nanami, and Norimasa were here! And Ageha was here! But she didn't count, she'd been here all evening...
The knock to the door made him look up and grin, making a beeline for the door to answer it. Oh, it was a girl! And she was... all in pink. Where were her purple clothes? Did she bring them in a bag to change into?
If he was honest he didn't know her... at all, just how many people did Finn invite?! But if she had been invited it would be rude to let her stand in the cold, right?
"Uh, yeah! Come in!" He opened the door wider for the two girls to enter, "Thanks for coming!" He looked at Kai again and he just couldn't see anything purple about her... What a pain! Did people not know how to read invitations these days?! "Umm, I'm gonna get you two some badges just so we know you're with us, okay?" He dashed back to the bottom of the stairs and grabbed two ribbon badges before running back over to them and holding one out to Kai and one to Kagami, "One for each of you, Ryan isn't here yet but he probably won't be long!"
Smiling just as brightly as Kai he put his hands on his hips, "I'm Maeda, Souta, if you need anything, just ask me, okay?"

Suzu was nervous as hell. Finn had told her Ageha was throwing a party and had invited her. Ageha terrified her. The girl had a bit of a temper that constantly made Suzu feel inferior. Because of this, and Finn's encouragement to 'invite her friends', she had invited Kai and Yuri. At least having her fellow Hostesses, one being her sister, there would make her feel all the more comfortable. Suzu hadn't done much with her head, except make it a little bit spikier. She wore a white t-shirt with purple writing over purple three-quarter-inch sleeved shirt, a pair of jeans, and converse boots. Pinned to the cat-eared hat that she wore lopsided on her head was a button with the image of some obscure 90s video game character.
"Come ON, Yuri, we're gonna be late! I don't want to make a bad impression on Senpai!" she called to her sister. Yuri always took FOREVER. Kai, Crystal, and Kage were probably already there. Suzu practically worshipped Finn. He was talented, confident, and handsome, not that she had a crush or anything.
An hour later, her sister was ready and Suzu was chomping at the bit to get going. "C'mon, c'mon! Let's go!" she rushed for the door, only to listen to her sister complain about the weather and not wanting to walk. "It's GOOD for you! You need regular exercise!" No luck. Yuri was NOT going to walk. "Fine. Brat."
Thankfully, she had conviced her sister to allow them to take the CAR and NOT the limo. She didn't want to stand out too much. She shifted nervously, unable to keep still. The moment they pulled up to the building, she was out of the car and rushing up to the door just in time to see Kai. "Kai-chan!" she called, waving. "Ohime-senpai!" She never felt comfortable addressing Kagami by her first name. Spotting Souta opening the door, she smiled a bit. "Is Finn-senpai here yet?" she asked him.

After Deedee had gotten a invitation from both Ageha and Finn she had already made up her mind that she was going. A party was a great reason to get out the house a party for Ryan was a even a better reason to get out of the house. It didn't take her long to find a outfit and put it on. It was a double layer purple flowy skirt that stopped a just about two inches above her knee, a plan white tank top that was tucked in and a quarter sleeve black leather jacket. On her feet was a pair of peep toe studded wedge ankle boots, the whole outfit was then finished off with a pair of sliver earrings. Grabbing her phone she placed it in her front jacket and headed out.
Getting into the car she her painted black nail tapped on the small envelope that rested in her lap. Ryan was one of the nicest people she knew so of course she had to give him a gift. Even if it was just a four hundred dollar gift card, she had refused to go in the party empty handed. Plus she also didn't want to make a mistake and get horrible gift. That would look bad on her part!
As the car pulled up to the house she had slide out of the back and headed up the walk way. There was a few people standing at the door and by the time she got there it was opened. After she gave Souta little smile and wave she then slipped into the house.

Yuri was taking her time getting ready. She had to! If she didn't, no one would be impressed at all. They only thing she and Suzu needed to worry about was getting there before Ryan. Yuri rolled her eyes as she adjusted her dress, making sure that it was up high enough to not fall and show a little too much of her chest. The top part was white, the bottom flowing material was a light purple mixed with pink. Yuri just couldn't do full purple! Besides, she even took the time to change the bow on her headband to be purple.
She finally came out of the bathroom ready and made a face at Suzu. "Suzu...can't you dress a little...better?" She asked before putting up a hand and shook her head. "Never mind, let's get going." She said grabbing a small hand purse and followed her sister downstairs. Her eyes widened as she heard Suzu wanted to walk...in the rain. "No." There was no way, that Suzu would get Yuri outside in heels and a dress in this weather.
Finally they got to a compromise: the car rather than the limo or walking. Yuri had agreed though she felt terrible not using the limo. "Will you calm down, Suzu?" She asked her sister seeing her fidget during the ride. She sighed and fixed her hair behind her ear, watching as Suzu practically flew out of the car. She got out herself seeing Kagami and Kai there as well. "Hello!" She called out walking up and frowned slightly as she still felt small whenever she was next to Kagami. Totally not cool.... She thought.

When Scarlett heard the dress code for the party she nearly cried. Nothing she owned was purple. Her wardrobe was pink. Just pink. She hadn't worn purple since she was a toddler! Her life was so hard. But she had to put the effort in! It was for Ryan after all!
Finn and Spencer had told her all about it when she went over to Finn's house and it was exciting but at the same time she'd been consumed with the panic about what on earth she'd wear. It had been a good excuse to go shopping that was for sure.
She was currently wearing a cream chiffon ruffled blouse, with a high waist cream skirt. The skirt was decorated with small purple flowers and had a purple ruffles around the bottom. Light purple tights and purple Victorian styled boots accompanied her dress. Stepping out of the limousine, she grabbed her overnight bag for later on and grabbed Finn's as well. After him moaning about it, it was easier just to take it.
Heading up the pathway she noticed the huge group of girls in the doorway and frowned, ducking past them and under Souta's arm to get into the house, red curls bouncing against her shoulders as she did.
As soon as she was inside was made a beeline for the staircase, dragging hers and Finn's overnight bag upstairs as fast as she could then rushed towards the spare room and dropped them inside before pulling her boots off and sighing, leaving them with her bag. It wasn't like they were dirty or anything, they'd never been worn.
Finally once she'd grabbed Ryan's present, she headed downstairs again, making a beeline for Ageha and Nanami once she'd put the present with all the others.
"The place looks nice! You did a good job!" She smiled then frowned when her phone buzzed. She fished it out of her pocket then rolled her eyes, "I'm getting selfie messages nineteen to the dozen."

You were bound to hear things when you were involved in the same sport as a member of the student council. That was just a side benefit of joining the cheerleading squad for Suzume, whose original interest had been simply in their activities themselves. Getting a cute uniform along with making influential friends were just extra great bonuses for him which made it all the more enjoyable. Take for example tonight. There was a party going on that some people had been invited to, yet Suzume hadn't met any of those guests. However his friend and teammate Scarlett had been invited, then extended the invitation to her fellow cheerleader. At least that was what he recalled the process as being. Honestly it was all kind of a blur since he'd immediately seized the opportunity to dig through his wardrobe for something both purple and fittingly cute for his big debut.
Admittedly it was only a debut in the sense that he would be meeting a good number of high school students for the first time. Suzume liked to plan things at his pace, though, and this was something that could be used to heighten his chances of getting involved in an even bigger future. The Host Club was well known enough that even a middle schooler knew of its activities and in this case aspired to join it. Or be selected for it. If he made himself known and loved by others before getting to high school there was a good chance the club would have to invite him! Boys and girls alike would demand he be able to host clients. It seemed like quite a lot of fun, so this was an important first step. He was dropped off before the residence in a nondescript but undoubtedly expensive car.
Many students were already present but so far Suzume recognized exactly zero of them. All the same he stood tall in his purple heels which had only recently been added to his collection - what a night to use them! They accentuated the matching skirt and blazer that accompanied a white silken blouse to create a very professional-yet-somehow-cute look. His hair swaying behind him as he sauntered to the door, he wondered what the purpose of the party was. Scarlett had probably mentioned it but in his excitement about meeting new people he hadn't really been listening. Was it a party for someone? If so it was someone he didn't know yet. That said he could ensure that more people would know him now that he was at a major social event.
"You can all rest easy, ladies and gentlemen, for I have arrived!" he announced in an ambiguously feminine voice, "You all look fabulous, by the way!"

So far, the Plan had gone pretty decently. Ryan was happy, mostly because he had pasta. But why wouldn't he be happy? He was with his two favourite guys! More importantly, he didn't suspect a thing and that was the best part. Usually, Ryan caught onto these things.
Spencer sent off a particularly cute picture of Ryan and Finn - Finn with his arm draped around Ryan's shoulders, Ryan covering his face with one hand, not hiding his smile very well - to the groupchat with Ageha, Scarlett, Souta, Finn, and Ryan on CUBE, appropriately named #SQUAD.
So presh #otp #ryinn4lyfe Yo so is everyone there Because it takes like half an hour to get back from here...

Ageha squinted down at her phone. 'That's disgusting' '' 'Just come back now. Everyone's almost here'
She wanted to throw a decent party, not throw up. Did Ryan have to look so... happy??? With Finn? With a roll of her eyes, she lifted her gaze to acknowledge Scarlett. "Thanks. I picked the balloons." Souta had done the rest, but Scarlett didn't need to know that. She dragged her eyes over the room. Even more people had shown up, and someone just shouted something. Minnie, now free from Ageha's grip, ran from person to person. Maybe she should have been crated... but Ryan would just take her out as soon as he got here. Her phone buzzed again. "Ugh, if I get one more selfie, I'm dropping Finn's stupid phone into someone's drink!" It looked like he'd sent almost all of them! Honestly!
