Kagami wasn’t happy. Kagami didn’t want to be here. As her limo approached the house this party was supposed to be, her irritation growing by the second. She wouldn’t have been here, at all, if not for Kais incessant begging.
When they reached the house, Kagami was slow to walk up to the door, clearly lacking the enthusiasm and excitement her sister possessed. She, too, had a distinct lack of purple. Unlike her sister, though, it wasn’t an accident. She hadn’t forgotten, she just hadn’t cared. She wore a plain grey tee- shirt and regular jeans, and plain black sneaker, a stark contrast to her sister.
When the boy held her pin out to her, Kagami looked up, her expression hard. “I don’t want one.” She Said cooly, staring the boy down and crossing her arms over her chest, as though challenging him to argue with her. Kai, though, was having none of it and snatched the pin away and attached it to her clothes, causing Kagami to roll her eyes.
The arrival of Yuri and Suzu did a little to calm Kagamis displeasure; at least there was someone she knew. She gave the smallest of nods in response to Suzurans greeting, but didn’t say anything as they and Kai conversed, or even as Kai ran off to greet someone else. Unlike herself, Kai was a little social butterfly, with lots of friends . Kagamis simply didn’t have it in her.

Kais smile dimmed somewhat as the boy who answered the door turned to get the pins, then turned to one of horror; Oh, no! She had forgotten to wear purple!
“Oh my gosh, Im so sorry!” She said, looking disappointed. “I did mean to- THOSE BOWS ARE SO CUTE!”
She took the pin the boy gave her with a giggle, pinning it to her shirt right at the front of her shoulder. With giggled excitedly at the accessory; it was adorable, and everyone who knew Kai knew that she adored anything bows.
She turned and bit her lip when she heard her sister deny the pin, planting her hands on her hips. “Onee- chan! Be nice!” And with the the plucked the pin out of her hands and attached it to her shirt. She then turned back to the boy. “Sorry about her.” She smiled. “She doesn’t mean to be mean.”
She heard someone calling out to her, turning to see Yuri- chan and Suzu- chan. “Suzu- chan! Hi!” Her smile brightened again at her fellow Hostesses, while her sister as silent behind her. “How are you guys? Its nice to see you!”
She chatted for a moment, before turning to the boy who opened the door and holding the bow in her hands out to him. “I got, um… The birthday boy a gift! I didn’t know what he liked but everyone likes cupcakes, right?”
Once she had been relieved of her gift, she heard another familiar voice. Turning, she saw Suzume, who she knew was on the middle school cheerleading squad. In addition, she had seen him around the Host Club. “Suzu- chan!”
Kai knew of the boys tendencies’ to dress like a girl, but to be honest she didn’t care. His clothes were adorable, and given the skirt she used the more feminine suffix. Flashing her friends a smile, she dashed up to him, her smile ever in place.
“Hi! I don’t know if you know me, Im Kai Ohime! Im on the high school cheerleading squad., and Im a Hostess.” She extended a hand to him. “Your skirt is so cute. Im so jealous!”

Suddenly, lots of people were here! That was good but now he was swamped by people in the doorway! He ushered all the girls in quickly so they weren't standing outside in the cold, grinning all the way.
When Suzu walked in, he smiled and rubbed his neck, "He's not here yet actually, he's keeping Ryan distracted but--" He stopped, pulling his phone out and checking the group chat, "--But they're on their way back soon! So don't worry!" He shoved his phone back in his pocket, shooting Suzu and Yuri a grin, "Until then, come in! Make yourselves at home!"
When Deedee arrived he grinned back at her and caught her wave in a high five then raised his hand quickly as Scarlett ducked around him. The newcomer who yelled about everyone looking fabulous was... interesting. For sure! Someone very interesting! And now his phone wouldn't stop buzzing in his pocket, but he couldn't check it again! That would be rude in front of the guests!
And the new girl wouldn't wear a ribbon... Huh. How rude. What kind of family did she come from? Yakuza? Worse? But the younger girl (her sister apparently) was suddenly full of apologies and had taken the badge from him.
"She's not mean, she's just... assertive!" Souta grinned and nodded, "Yeah! She's assertive!" He was running out of nicer words to describe her... "Parties aren't everyone's idea of fun, but it should be alright! Thanks for coming to help celebrate Ryan's birthday!" Finally, shutting the door behind all the newcomers he took the present from Kai, smiling brightly, thanking her and heading to the present table and adding it to the other presents. So far everything looked good! This was going to be a good party!

When the prick had invited him... well. He hadn't really wanted to go and he probably wouldn't have if it wasn't for Ryan. Ryan was always nice to him without fail so he felt that he should at least show his face and wish him a happy birthday. Then Crystal had gushed about it and encouraged him to go so... Matthew felt like he had to go.
He was wearing his good blue jeans along with a faded purple t-shirt with his brown leather jacket. He was also wearing a purple beanie that matched his shirt.
He lived close enough, so he was happy to walk but he headed towards the party he saw two people up ahead, arms looped together to hold onto each other. The taller one with blonde hair he knew well, the smaller one... not so much. She was... Crystal's girlfriend? Or friend? Probably girlfriend, Crystal talked about her a lot. He didn't know her very well though.
"Crystal!" He called, picking up the pace to run over to the two girls, slowing down to a halt when he got close enough, "I thought I'd be standing in the corner like a damn lemon, thank god you're here." He looked at Kage and nodded slightly, "Hey, It's Kage, right?"

Crystal blinked as she heard an all too familiar voice and turned to see Kage calling out to her. She smiled widely, a blush crossing her cheeks when Kage hooked their arms. "Hello, hun." She said in reply and walked a little closer to Kage though made sure the umbrellas didn't bump into each other. It was then that Crystal's phone went off, pulling it out to see that Ageha had replied and gave a short nod.
"Did you bring anything for Ryan? We can give this to him from the both of us. " She asked holding a bag from the bakery with some of Ryan's favorite sweets in it. It was shortly after that they Crystal heard another familiar voice as she turned to see Matthew stopping at her other side. She smiled a little more, giving a light giggle at Matthew's words. "Matthew, you're anything but a lemon and you know I won't let you sit a corner all night."
Crystal turned her attention back to Kage then. "I've told you about Matthew from back in London, right?"

Kage lifted a wrapped box. It wasn't large but inside was Space Invaders themes wristwatch. Finn had told her Ryan liked space and alien themed stuff and video games and that had left Kage to find this gem. "I'm good. Found something interesting while I was shopping with Duncan a few days ago." She felt a little more at ease. Showing up with Crystal would save her from Ageha's wrath, that was for sure. At least she had a reason to hide from their gracious host.
When Matthew walked up beside them, Kage was grateful that he stayed on the OTHER side of Crystal. When he greeted her, she gave a weak smile, trying not to allude to the fact that she was afraid. She clutched tighter to Crystal's arm, short of digging her nails in. She nodded her head. "Aye, I remember ye talkin' about him." she answered Crystal, then Matthew spoke to her. "Y-yeah, though ye speak English, so ye could call me by me real name, Treasa. I just use Kage cause nobody at school can pronounce me name." She did her best to keep her voice steady. Crystal and Haruhi were the only ones in the host club that ever used Kage's real name. Shiro had TRIED to, but continued to botch it on a regular basis, so Kage had made her promise to stop trying.

Finding something purple wasn't the problem at all. Finding something she actually liked was the problem. Although - as Prim reminded herself - today wasn't really about her. Yes, she wanted to look cute, but today was Ryan's day! It was only right that he would end up looking the cutest. Once she had collected Hyacinth, which in itself was an ordeal, she set off towards wherever the party was. It wasn't very far from their home, so for that she was grateful. It was so ! What a sad day for a party! Although from what she knew about Ryan, he wasn't fond of the outdoors, so it was unlikely the rain had spoiled any plans. She had struggled over what to get Ryan. He was so shy he barely spoke around her! At first she had been kind of offended. Instead of speaking sometimes, he'd just whisper into Finn's ear! She got over it pretty quickly. Taking care not to step in any puddles, she made her way up to the doorway. Maybe everybody was already here? She glanced back at Hyacinth, shrugging, then turned back around and rang the doorbell.

Spencer squinted at his phone.
'Okay relax, we're on our way' 'Like we're waiting for the train, it'll be a few more minutes'
He snuck a glance at Ryan. He was still talking to Finn about something, swinging their hands just a little bit. It was disgusting. Cute, but disgusting nonetheless!
Suddenly, he was glad Ryan had forgotten his phone at Ageha's. He had been sending all these messages to the group with Ryan in it! He was an idiot. They were all idiots. Ryan was never going to let any of them hear the end of this once he found out.
The train finally arrived. Spencer meandered into it behind Finn and Ryan, letting them sit down while he held onto one of the straps.

Deedee had mange to make her way through the crowd of people.Feeling her phone buzzing she pulled it out and check her. The party was just getting starting but she was already getting tagged in status on Statbook raving about how great the party was so far and that if you won't there you was missing out.
Shaking her head she put her phone away and looked up when she heard yell out they was here and that everyone looked fabulous.
She shrugged a bit and threw up a hand. "Thank you!" Deedee jumped a bit as she felt something cold and wet touch her ankle. Glancing down she smiled at the dog and leaned down to pet it. As she stood back up she made her way over to the table and put Ryan gift down.

Suzu was a little disappointed to hear Finn wasn't there yet, but the explination made sense. She only knew Finn from the idol club, but she certainly admired his confidence. She wanted to be like him one day. Ryan....had she met Ryan? Finn had invited her, but she wasn't sure she had actually met Ryan. Thankfully, Finn had helped her in the gift department. Suzu had made sure to ask him during club one day what Ryan liked. Suzu had settled on a boxed dvd set of some show about a time travelling alien. What was it? Dr. What? Something like that. It wasn't really Suzu's thing.
"Thanks, Maeda-senpai." she said with a smile. She remembered him from the idol club but she wasn't sure if he actually knew who she was. It certainly wasn't a secret among the club anymore, though there were some who either didn't know or didn't care. She was glad it hadn't gotten out to the Host Club or her sister. THAT would be a disaster. She couldn't bring herself to admit that she liked working as an idol.
Suzu slipped off her shoes, walked inside, and looked around. It was a nice place. Suzu just wasn't a fan of huge houses. She would have preferred to live above the bento shop, but her mother wouldn't have it. The thought of her mother cause Suzu's anger to swell, but she pushed it away. "Kai-chan, you're bouncing off the walls," she said with a laugh. "You're gonna give the surprise away before Finn-senpai and the others get here."

Yuri blinked as she noticed a certain red-head duck under and into the house before her and the girls outside. She certainly looked fashionable in her outfit; Yuri had to give her that. She turned though in surprise when she heard an unfamiliar voice shout out from behind her. It was someone she didn't know but she gave a small smile to them. Again: Yuri was glad to see some people had some fashion sense even if purple wasn't the first color she'd pick to wear. "Why thank you." She replied to the new person before Kagami's reply to a ribbon made her roll her eyes.
"Good lord, can't you put your attitude away, Ohime-san? This is a party for someone else!" She stated and shook her head, looking to Souta as he spoke and let everyone in. "Thank you for inviting us." She replied to his kindness and walked inside. Finally! She was out and away from the rain.
Oh...do we need to take off our shoes for this?
Yuri wasn't all too pleased; she was short enough as is! Now, she was asked to be her normal tiny self? A small sigh escaped her lips as she leaned forwards, undoing the zipper in the back of her heeled sandals that wrapped up to her calf. She took them off with a frown, placing them off to the side before walking further inside.
Great...now I have to look like this?! At a party with nearly everyone here!? Just my luck...

The older Ohime sister raised an eyebrow at Soutas comment. Not mean, huh? That was a first. A lot of times, people couldnt spend more then five minutes before labeling her as rude or mean and, honestly, they werent wrong about those things. Aside from the few people in the host club who seemed to like that, (Apparently it made her... cool? Or something?) Nobody really thought much of her.
Not that she was complaining; Kagami didnt mind people not liking her. It kept away people who wanted to know too much, or who wanted to get too close. She crossed her arms over her chest after Kai had left, her annti- social tendencies surfacing. She was seriously considering going home when an annoyingly familiar voice was heard from behind her.
Kagamis face darkened as she turned, seeing the head of pink air that belonged to Shirayuri, a fellow Hostess. This girl never failed to get on Kagamis nerves, and now was no exception. Kagami felt her fists unconciously clench and her jaw set. She opened her mouth to tell Yuri to go to hell, but almost immediately was distracted by the arrival of one of the few people Kagami COULD stand.
"Kage!" Casting one last glare to Yuri, kagami strode up to to her friend, running a hand through her messy hair. "You have perfect timing." She glanced back at the pink- haired bitch with a sneer.

Still unaware of what the party was celebrating, Suzume was content to just chat up whomsoever decided to be in the nearby vicinity. The best way to start building up a foundation of support for his inevitable selection for the Host Club was to be kind to everyone. No matter what slings and arrows fortune fired in his way, he'd stand tall and beautiful in confidence and defiance if need be. Fortune favored him enough that a high school cheerleader approached and introduced herself. A pretty girl who was kind enough to introduce herself was certainly worth his time! Not to mention she was a Hostess, which would get him a more direct track to joining that club eventually himself as both Host and Hostess! With a flourish he took Kai's hand, bowed and kissed it in greeting before proceeding to shake it.
"Your words are quite flattering, Ohime-san. I'd say you were even cuter than me with the outfit you're wearing," he responded to the excited girl, "It's wonderful to meet someone else who's involved in cheerleading too! I hope to join when I move to the high school next year, and maybe join a club or two! I'm Suzume Suzumi, but you can just call me Suzu if you want!"

The doorbell rang nonstop. Where had Souta run off to?
Shaking her head, Ageha hurried to let in the last few guests. So many people had arrived so far—definitely from Finn running his mouth so much and so often. She hoped it wouldn't scare Ryan off. It satisfied her, at least, that she recognized so many people. If she knew them, surely Ryan would; that would help him feel more comfortable.
She decided to hang back a moment, stopped by the buzzing shooting through her other hand. It was Spencer again.
'Good.'
Souta had better be around for them to wrangle all the guests in front of the door.

"Oh. Well. Treasa then." Matthew gave a small noncommittal shrug, then blinked, "You speak Gaelic as well don't you?" He smirked, adding quickly in Gaelic, "Good to know." He looked up at Crystal and ruffled her hair good naturedly, repeating it in English, "Good to know. Shall we go?"
She seemed shy around him. Oh well. She'd have to get used to having him around, Crystal was his friend too. She seemed almost... afraid of him? That didn't make sense to him he hadn't even met her before tonight. Perhaps she'd heard stories of one of his swearing matches with that first year art student from the university... That must have been it. Apparently calling an art student 'inept' 'amateur' and 'a vinegar faced manipulative cow bag' was a bad thing.
As they headed towards the doors they stopped behind two shorter girls. When one looked back at her companion Matthew blinked. She looked... very familiar to him. It unnerved him. When the door finally opened (by Ageha herself, an honor indeed...) he headed inside but the red head from 3-C made a beeline for Kage. He scowled at her. He didn't like Kagami. And as far as he could tell Kagami didn't like him, but he didn't have time for her antics tonight.
Sidestepping around Kage and Kagami he headed towards the present table and sat the little lavender present bag on it. It was a necklace thing with a picture from the X-Files that Finn had sent him the link to on Etsy. It was easier than having to search for a present himself when he could just ask Finn.
