Crystal carefully folded her and tucked her uniform into the top part of the locker of the girl's changing room. Today was another practice for the swim team and she rather excited. Why? She didn't know, there was just something about today that was more exciting for her than normal. She grabbed her goggles, putting them on over her head and let them rest around her neck. She pulled her hair back from the twin pigtails that she normally wore and back into a single ponytail.
She walked out of the changing room as she grabbed her towel and swim cap. It didn't look like anyone else was there yet....but that wasn't new for Crystal. She liked to arrive early and just sit in the cool room with the pool and let her feet soak in the waters. Which is exactly what she did. She sat down at the edge of the pool, letting her feet be covered by the cool waters as she worked on tucking all her monstrous hair into the small, stretchy swim cap before letting it snap around her head.

There weren't any student council activities today. Nori was thankful for that, because it gave him the first chance in a while to swim freely, his strokes unburdened by the weight of leaving Nanami to manage twice as many responsibilities. He tossed about the idea of messaging her, glancing down at his phone as he finished stowing his things in his locker, but decided against it. He couldn't remember if she had theatre rehearsals today and, if she did, he didn't want to disturb her. They'd both been doing a lot of trading off of responsibilities with each other lately.
After one last look over his legskins, he headed out to the pool. It looked like Crystal was already there. A smile tugged at the edges of Nori's lips, and he came to a stop next to her.
"Hello, Crystal-san!" She'd told him a long time ago that he didn't have to be so formal, but he couldn't bring himself to be too casual yet. "Were you the first to get here?"

Crystal blinked and looked up to see that Nori had showed up and smiled. "Hello, Nori. Still trying to get out of the 'san' stage with me? You are allowed to call me Crys or whichever name you feel fits." She said kindly as she stood up and stretched her arms up above her head.
She smiled and titled her head at him. "If you'd like, we can start stretching. I know you've been busy with the student council and haven't been able to be here as often as you'd like."

Nori let out the smallest of laughs. Something told him 'Crystal-san' wouldn't go over so well either.
"Sorry," he offered, stifling the urge to bow. If '-san' was no good, he didn't want to be even more unnecessarily formal. "Yes, I'm ready when you are!" Somehow the pool seemed especially bright today. He could already imagine how great it would feel to dive in.

Ché didn't think he was late! According to his watch he was pretty much on time! Well... he had been kept behind for a while after class. Being class president was a lot more work than he thought it would be, he was so tired! But he had swimming practice today, and he couldn't miss that. No matter how tired he was!
Once he'd changed out of his uniform, and into his swim trunks, put it neatly into his locker, he'd grabbed his goggles and headed quickly to the pool, hugging his orange hoodie jacket close to himself, only to see that he was probably late.
"Emmerson-Senpai, Washio-Senpai! Good afternoon!" He headed over quickly, drawing level with them and smiled brightly, "It's great to see you both!" He still felt tired, "A-Ah. Sorry I'm late! I had class duties to do, it ran over a bit!"

Crystal chuckled and looked to Che when he arrived and waved at him. "You're not late to my knowledge, Che-kun." She said looking to a clock and nodded as she was right. "How about we all stretch before starting the laps? I think Washio-Sensei is supposed to be here today...but I'm unsure." She shrugged lightly before starting her stretching with her two team mates.
The stretches were simple: Some jumping jacks(one of Crystal's most hated stretches for....girl reasons), leg stretches to each side, arm stretches to get rid of any tenseness and the like.

Oooh, what was this Ayame spied? Her cute cousin and his cuter friend, Crystal? Was a romance blossoming? Ayame chuckled to herself as she stood in the doorway, watching the two exchange their greetings. Oh, Nori-chi was so cute in how he fumbled over his words and his formalities. Ayame could just see the moe sparkled around him and Crystal. Part of her hoped the two might one day end up together. She considered Crystal the PERFECT match for her dear younger cousin. However....the word on the grapevine was that Crystal had formed some kind of relationship with Treasa Munro. Ayame knew of Treasa's preferences, but she wasn't about to let that stop her.
Her arms were starting to hurt. Oh, that's right! She had a particular, medium-sized box in her arms. Deciding to make her presence known, she strode into the room, her low heels clicking against the hard floor of the pool room.
"Good afternoon!" she greeted. "Sorry I'm late, it seems we had a delivery today." She set the box down on the closest set of bleachers. "The swimsuits for the first years just arrived. I'll be handing them out today as well as helping with your practice. Coach seems to have come down with a nasty cold."

Nori felt something icy course down his spine and wrestled against grimacing. Crystal and Ché would see and grow concerned. Moreover, he shouldn't have held such unpleasant feelings toward his own cousin. He knew it was her; that same feeling always crept over him whenever she was nearby. Regardless of her quirks, she was still family, and older than him. Hopefully, she wouldn't do anything troublesome today, but if he happened... he could tolerate it.
"Don't worry about it, Ché-kun." He shot Ché a pleasant smile, turned to aim it at Ayame. "Ah, Washio-sensei! Good afternoon." His gaze wandered down toward the box Ayame carried in. They had a larger turnout of first-year members than usual this year. Surely that box brimmed over with new swimsuits. With their numbers combined with the older members, Ayame would have a lot to take on by herself. "Are you sure you can handle coaching all of us today? I'm sure one of us can help you."

Norimasa and Crystal's reassurance seemed to calm his worries down and Ché beamed brightly at both of them, eyes crinkling as he did so. He carried out the stretches quickly, stretching his arms over his front and then leaning up, lacing his fingers together and stretching. He yawned widely before suddenly feeling a chill.
When Washio-Sensei finally arrived he turned around, holding his elbows as she spoke. Ayame always had a way of... making him feel uneasy. It had to be the way she watched Norimasa interact with any girl in the immediate vicinity. It was like an anime... the way her eyes glinted. The first time Ché saw it he'd assumed it had simply been a trick of the light and that he was being silly... but then it happened again... and again. It was... kind of scary if he was honest.
When Ayame announced the new swimsuits for the first years had arrived, he perked up quickly. That was him! He could stop wearing his own jammers! Although... he liked his jammers... maybe he could alternate between practices?
When Norimasa spoke up he nodded in agreement, "Yeah, Washio-Sensei! There's an awful lot of us for just you!"

Well, speak of the de...no, Crystal couldn't call Washio-sensei a devil, even if it was saying. She was too sweet for her own good, at least in Crystal's opinion, she was. Crystal smiled, chuckling lightly. "Well, I'm sure the first years will be quite happy to match finally." She said glancing to Che as she winked at him. He wasn't the only one that had felt a little uncomfortable out of the first years this year when they were told to use whatever bathing suit, though appropriate, until theirs arrived.
"Nori-kun and I could always help you pass out the swimsuits, since the coach isn't here. It's unfair to let everything fall on you. If you trusted us, we could help the younger students with their forms during practice." Crystal loved to swim; her father had her swimming when she just three years old. Summer time was the best time to find Crystal by a pool...well, scratch that. You could always find her there if she was left her to entertain herself.

Ayame chuckled at her cousin. She knew he didn't like that she tried to set him up with the girls she thought most appropriate, but it was one of her hobbies. That and setting up all of her students. It had been especially amusing last year when she had had Nori-chi and Crystal in her class. She was constantly pairing them up for projects, hoping a love would bloom. Sadly, Nori-chi started dating that Nanami girl. Oh, Nanami was a lovely, sweet little thing...but Ayame felt Nori-chi needed someone more assertive in his life that wouldn't walk all over him. Like Crystal.
"I was going to ask, Nori-chi, if you and Crystal would help running the drills and such," she said to her cousin with a smile. "I'm afraid the Coach only has me here to look pretty and to keep the order when focusing on your individual talents."
What nobody had seemed to notice at this point was that she had moved next to her cousin and was now proceeding to pat his butt. "Of course, we could always work one of one, Nori-chi, if you need the extra practice."

Nori's smile eased into genuineness. Maybe this practice wouldn't be as bad as he assumed. Ayame seemed to really want to focus on helping them out. "Of course, Washio-san! We --"
Nori's words trailed into a startled yelp. A jolt raced up his spine. Before he knew it, he'd whirled around and both his arms propelled out toward Ayame, all his force pushing toward her just to get her away from him.

At Crystal's wink, Ché beamed brightly. Maybe it would be better to wear the school swimming gear, even though his upperclassmen had made him feel very comfortable and welcomed in the swimming club, it would make him and the other first years really part of the team! Yeah, this was a good thing!
Aaaand Ayame had ignored him. Huh. It was like he hadn't even spoken at all, she hadn't even acknowledged him, not a nod, not any kind of affirmation. That was... rather rude. He didn't want to doubt Norimasa's family, because he was always kind and friendly... He'd heard stories about Ayame though... being outcast from the rest of the family... maybe being rude was why? His smile fell for the briefest of moments before appearing again as though it hadn't flickered once. He didn't want to dwell on it too much. It wasn't any of his business after all.
Then suddenly it all happened very fast. Norimasa had pushed Ayame away from him and Ché blinked... then swallowed. More rumours immediately flew to mind on some of Ayame's... eccentricities. Looking up at Norimasa in concern he quietly sidled between him and Ayame, trying to seem casual but probably looking more concerned than anything else.
He looked around, clear concern on his face. "Washio-Senpai, are you okay?"

Crystal was happy to see Che beaming at her wink. She was so happy to have gotten along with him and several others of the new team members. When Ayame had spoken of letting them help with drills, Crystal nodded before everything went wrong. Ayame was doing her normal thing when she saw Nori; the inappropriate butt rubbing. Crystal could only cringe before her eyes widened when she saw Nori push Ayame away.
It wasn't the first time this happened but by the poolside was dangerous. Crystal knew it from personal experience, be with people she knew or herself, so she acted quickly. "Washio-sensei!" She called out, moving over to grab her hand to try and help her from really hurting herself.

Just as Nori turned, she stopped, turning her head to Ché with a smile. She opened her mouth to speak, but then it happened. Her cousin spun around and pushed her. Crystal moved to help her, but too late. Ayame stumbled back and fell into the pool. When she surfaced, she was sputtering and clinging to the side of the pool for dear life. Unlike her dear cousin, she wasn't very good at swimming. In fact, the most she could muster could barely be considered a doggy paddle.
She managed to pull herself out, though, and headed for the box she'd brought in, acting like nothing had happened, a bit of a grin on her freckled face. Now safe on solid ground, she turned to Ché and smiled, pushing her now soaked glasses up on her face as her hair hung in her eyes and clung to her cheeks. "Hayashi-kun," she called, motioning him over. She reached into the box full of bathing suits. Each one had a tag designating who it was for and what size it was. When they had ordered them, they had gotten the sizes from each of the students. The Coach had been very careful to make sure everyone's sizes were correct.
"This one's yours, dear," she handed it over. "If you need any help, let me know," she said with a wink.
