On the third floor of the dormitory buildings, in the 12th room there was a small plaque that read 'Linh Tran' in English rather than Kanji. Her personal preference, after all the school existed simply to make it's students happy and the dormitories were no exception. The sizes of the individual rooms were proof enough of that.
Linh's room contained assorted rugs scattered around in each room on top of the carpets, the paintings on the wall were all Victor Figol. Scattered around were textbooks, the unread ones were stacked in the corner. On the table, travel books were scattered around. A pack of Tarot Cards sat spread over them. The box was nowhere to be seen. Also on the table, was a shoe box, placed on top of the other unnecessary clutter.
There were two Konbini bags on the kitchen counter and shopping bags from Ginza were sat on the sofa. A pair of platform heels were left by the side of the door as Linh left her room, putting in a pair of hoop earrings. She was wearing a white, Lacey crop top and a white skirt decorated with pink roses. A beige cardigan had been slung over the back of the armchair.
When she'd received a text earlier in the day asking for help she'd left Ginza early. This was much more important after all! She'd have another free day so it wasn't the end of the world. There was internet shopping as well so it wasn't a huge loss. But the text had encouraged her to do a bit of extra shopping before returning to her room.
Heading into the kitchen she started putting things from the Konbini bags away in the cupboards. Catching sight of herself in the kettle she frowned, turning around and pulling her handbag close, rooting around inside it to get her makeup bag. Pulling it out she picked up a tube of red lipstick and her compact, applying it while keeping sight of herself in the small mirror. Once she finished she heard a knock on the door and her face broke out into a huge smile.
Putting her lipstick and compact down on the counter she rushed to the door and pulled it open. Her smile widened.
"It's been a while! Come in!"

Ageha could feel her heart fluttering, but couldn't muster the energy to let it show on her face. Instead, she retained a frown.
Coming over was a bad idea. It was like she wanted to talk about what happened today, but she didn't. But she couldn't back out now, she'd started this whole thing! Moreover, it'd be nice to see Linh again. Between Linh's new life in university and Ageha's club activities, there wasn't a lot of time for stuff like this anymore.
She barely got the chance to finish smoothing out her uniform skirt before the door opened. Upon seeing Linh, Ageha was finally able to manage a real smile, if only for a few seconds, while she ushered inside and bent to take off her shoes.
"Hi." Ageha stood upright, pausing to drag her eyes over Linh's room. It looked about how she expected. Those were the most obnoxious paintings she'd ever seen in her life. Honestly. She wished she'd been able to go with Linh to help her buy decorations for her dorm. Those paintings would have been vetoed immediately! Anyway... "What do you know about getting rid of idiot teachers?"

Closing the door behind Ageha, Linh caught her looks at the paintings and frowned at them herself, "Ghastly aren't they? Mum sent them over. I didn't have anything else to put up." She headed towards the kitchen counter, pulling the coffee cup container close to her and taking out the two cups inside.
She pushed the Caffe Mocha towards Ageha, keeping the Americano close to herself. At Ageha's question, she looked up in surprise.
"Probably too much for my own good, how come?" She opened the bin, throwing the cup container away and picked up her coffee, gesturing for Ageha to join her on the sofas. Sitting down at the end of the sofa, she put some of the books from the table down onto the floor before putting her coffee cup down on it. The shoe box remained where it had previously been placed.
"Which idiot do you need to get rid of and wh-" She stopped at the sudden change in light. There was a noticeable red mark at the side of Ageha's face although it looked like most of it had been covered up with foundation yet there was a small mark at the edge of her face... "What happened?" Her voice was suddenly dangerously calm. "Who hit you?" She watched Ageha carefully, "Is this... Was this a teacher?!"

Ageha wandered over to the couch, plopping down on it, and accepted the coffee. She sipped from it while listening to Linh. Was this caffe mocha? It tasted like it.
She nearly spit it out at Linh's questioning. Luckily, she came to her senses and forced it the other way, swallowing it properly.
"No!" That had to be the worst possible conclusion! Ugh... she really thought she'd hidden that mark better. Stupid Munro. "It was this dumb farm girl that joined the dance team recently... It's a long story. Do you remember me telling you the auditions for vice-captain were coming up?" Ageha's frown returned in full force. Thinking about what had happened still made her mad.

"A farm girl?" Linh frowned, attempting to turn Ageha's face slightly to see the extent of what had happened. Her expression of concern soon changed, her lips pressing together and eyebrows knitting together.
As Ageha spoke she got up, moving over to her fridge quickly and digging around through the freezer to find something frozen. Finding a packet of frozen peas she closed her freezer, wrapping the peas up in kitchen towel.
"Yeah, you texted me last week, I saw posters when I dropped into drama club to find costumes." Returning to the sofa, she sat down lightly, reaching over to hold the frozen peas against Ageha's cheek gently, "Wasn't... Oh, what's his name... Reznik auditioning?" She remembered him vaguely from third year. Spirited, full of energy, good dancer. Looking Ageha over, she smiled at her gently, continuing to hold the pack against her cheek.
"Okay, let's hear this long story then, we've got time."

Ageha tried to scuttle away from Linh, but only got to the end of the sofa. When the frozen peas met her skin, an annoying, tingling feeling pooled over her along with the cold that spread across her cheek.
"Um..." Linh really didn't have to do this; it was just distracting! "Right... Washio came to me about the auditions and said that she'd need my help to pick the new vice-captain - like you got to pick." At least, that's what she assumed happened. Part of her worried Linh had gone through the same thing - being lied to by Washio. "I wanted Reznik - Spencer - or Souta to get it. You remember Souta, don't you? Washio wanted the farm girl... Everyone calls her Kage. She's from Scotland, I don't remember her real name. Tree... something. But -- she's the weakest member of the team, you know?! Why would anyone pick her?"
Ageha frowned, gritting her teeth.
"She's always asking me for help, and I finally sat with her and asked her about her experience. She hasn't danced since she was nine, Linh! Nine! She's a second year now! How am I supposed to get the team to nationals with someone like her?"

Linh hummed in acknowledgement as Ageha spoke, readjusting the pack against Ageha's cheek, nodding occasionally to confirm what she was suggesting.
"I think I remember him... Funny? Model boy?" She gave a small side shrug as she continued talking. Her forehead creased as Ageha spoke and she pressed her lips together, tapping her nails on the coffee table, "So Washio chose this Scottish girl without even consulting you?" She frowned, "That really sucks... Although I'd expect nothing less from her, she always seems to have her own agenda with everything and she's kind of self absorbed."
She was quiet for a minute before she smiled, "You know, if it's a bad situation and you're unhappy then you should leave," She patted her hand lightly, "Hold the pack." Once Ageha was holding the ice pack she picked up her coffee and wrapped her fingers around it, smiling slightly, "You shouldn't stay in the team at a detriment to yourself, if you're being treated unfairly then it's understandable you want to get out of a bad situation."
Sipping from her coffee quietly, she smiled, "You could probably get to nationals with Spencer and Souta." She hummed, tapping her bottom lip quietly before shrugging. "Go to nationals with them in a new team, you know how I feel about Washio, if she's not going to respect you as the team captain then there's no point being there." She smiled, patting Ageha's hand. "Just know that whatever you do, I'll support you." She smiled, tilting her head, "And if I ever see this farm girl, she'll be very sorry for hitting you."

Ageha maintained her frown, despite the relief draping over her once Linh let her hold the frozen peas herself.
"She said it was all part of some dumb plan to rebel against Washio… and that she was acting." The same dumb plan she'd never consented to in the first place. Why was she being dragged into things like this?! Now she had to sneak around, covering up this stupid bruise! "I'm definitely leaving, but… it'll take time, you know? I talked about it with Spencer and Souta. They want to leave, too, but Souta said we should wait and plan this out. I'm not leaving everyone else with Washio, anyway. I know she won't treat them right. She's too stupid."
Ageha shifted against the sofa, scooting back.
"All we need is more members and a teacher to supervise us, but we need someone who's trained in dance before. There's no point if we're stuck with someone else who doesn't know what they're doing."

"Acting?" Linh leaned back and for a moment her frown mirrored Ageha's, "Well she's a shitty actress if she can't stage slap properly." And now her darling little Ageha had a bruise! This was no good. No good at all. For whoever this farm girl was if Linh ever found her. She leaned back against the sofa, listening to Ageha talk quietly. She nodded her head while she spoke , "You're right, you should talk to some of the younger students. Some of the ones with potential. And... find a wide range as well. A wider range of dance styles is gonna let you enter more categories at nationals." She nodded to herself, picking up her coffee and drinking from it, thinking quietly, "And if I can do anything, let me know."She was quiet for a minute longer before she put her coffee down quickly and reached forward to pick up the shoe box from the table, leaning back to put the shoe box on Ageha's lap, "I saw them and I thought of you! Open them up!" She'd seen them earlier in the window when she'd been shopping. She thought they were darling. Perfect Shoes.

Ageha nodded along, her eyes narrowing in thought. Actually, there was one thing Linh could do already.
“Do you know if we have any teachers who know about dance?” It couldn't hurt to ask. Ageha had never been particularly fond of or favored by any of Ouran's faculty… until Luke-sensei came along, that is. She was pretty sure that there was no point in asking him to sponsor them, though. He was already busy with the Student Council, first of all, and secondly, she couldn't imagine someone as big and gangly and awkward as Luke-sensei being any good at dance. Spencer had been enough of a surprise. “We can't get rid of Washio if we don't have anyone to replace her.”
The box gave Ageha pause. What…? Linh… thought of her? And got her shoes? All the tension that had built up in her from before washed away, replaced by something else. Her eyes widened. Ageha couldn't recognize the brand, though she did recognize the ridiculous pattering in her chest. This was terrible. What was Linh buying her shoes for?
“Y-you didn't have to…” Her voice came out more feebly than she wanted to. Ageha gave up and slid the lid away from the box. A tiny gasp slipped from her and she dropped the lid and lifted one shoe from the box, rotating it in her grasp, admiring it. “These are perfect…!” What would she wear these with, though? She had to have something that paired well with these!

"No, I didn't have too, I wanted too!" Linh waved a hand as Ageha looked at the shoes, sipping from her coffee. At the younger girl's praise she smiled, nodding knowingly, holding her head slightly higher.
"Dance teachers..." Linh leaned back against the sofa, pressing her lips together and furrowing her brow in thought. "Dance teachers..." She murmured again. As far as she knew, there weren't any teachers trained in modern dance... She'd have to look into it. "I mean, I can check but--" She stopped, her mouth forming a small 'o' shape as she thought for a minute.
Putting her coffee cup down on the table suddenly, she stood up and hurried into the other room, opening her drawers frantically before eventually pulling out a small book which was still wrapped in cellophane. Ripping the cellophane off, and returning to the main room she scanned through the rules and regulations of the school before stopping on the rules for clubs. Her eyes scanned the page quickly before a bright smile split across her face.
"University students are permitted to sponsor clubs in the Middle School and the High School as long as their supervisor and mentor is aware of it." Linh looked up, face practically shining, "How about that?" It was perfect! She'd practically been dancing for 12 years! It made absolute sense that she could mentor them, "I can supervise you! I know most of you, and you know that I'm trained in dance! At least until you find a teacher to take over properly... how about me?" A wide smile spread across her face as she stared down at Ageha.
She couldn't say no to her! Right?
