"Yer too kind, Michael. I highly doubt that." There was no way something like this suited a common farmgirl like herself.
Hyacinth's remark surprised her. It had been a nickname from when they were kids. She had called Hyacinth "Bogha" for as long as she could remember and now all of a sudden Hyacinth didn't like it? Kage constantly had to remind herself that these girls had grown, just like her. Things had changed. She had to stop expecting it to be like they were kids again.
"I've called ye that fer so long, forgive me if it slips out." The words were half-hearted, but Kage wanted their friendship back. When she had met up with them again, she had suddenly felt like she wasn't alone anymore.
....so why did she feel so isolated now?
Shiro's remark pulled her out of her thoughts. That was an anime she remembered Shiro forcing her to watch. It had certainly been interesting, if not amusing. The character Watanuki reminded her vaguely of Tamaki with the way he spazzed.
And then Vivi made an appearance. "Hello, Vivi," she greeted. Kage had almost murdered the poof fox during their first meeting. It had taken weeks to get the little guy to warm up to her after that. She had had to explain to Shiro that on the farm, foxes weren't a good thing. They ate lambs and threatened the flock.

And at his compliment to Treasa she just waved it away... wait. What?
"Who's Michael?" He frowned. Well, clearly she was another rich shit. Never mind.
When the miko quoted something Matthew just looked at her. He opened his mouth once to say something but closed it quickly and took to just shaking his head, frowning, while taking another picture.
Turning back to Hyacinth when she asked about fate, he gave a side shrug, "You can't live with my dad and not be superstitious, he's a paranoid old geezer, that's for sure." Looking through the pictures he'd taken, Hyacinth spoke up again and his blood ran cold.
Bailey.
He gritted his teeth, his jaw set. He looked down, moving the camera over slightly and staring at the name he'd carved into the camera such a long time ago. He'd tried to scratch it out. He just couldn't.
He needed a new camera.
A new everything.
Bailey wasn't here anymore. Her camera shouldn't be either.
He hadn't really realized just how long he'd been quiet for when he blinked and seemed to come out of it. Treasa and the miko seemed to be cooing over a fox.
"No." He moved his hand over the side of his camera, "She's called Elizabeth. I don't know a Bailey." He felt slightly ill. He knew for certain he must be pale, but it had been such a long time... He lowered his camera. He could feel his eyes getting watery but he looked away quickly, keeping his teeth grit tightly. He moved off quickly, moving past the miko and Treasa and heading further towards the building.

Hyacinth tossed a pointed look at Shiro. She was trying very hard to be insightful, wasn't she? Sighing, she tried to wipe the look from her face as Treasa tried apologising. Hyacinth merely waved it away.
"It's fine." It wasn't anything worth shouting over anyway. It was just annoying.
The subject became quickly replaced once Matthew's responded. Hyacinth squinted up at him. What was taking him so long to answer? She didn't have all day! And why did he look like that, like he'd been caught with some sort of awful secret? He looked like something out of a drama!
"Matthew? Are you in there?!" Her hands settled on her hips, her critical expression just as present once he finally snapped to his senses. "Honestly! It was a question. You didn't have to go to the Moon over it." Why on Earth did he look so… so rattled? She wasn't sure she believed him. No. She definitely didn't. Before she could say anything else, Matthew shot off, moving toward the building and away from her.
Hyacinth frowned over at Treasa and her friend. "What is his problem?"
