The afternoon air was crisp and cool as Kage threw open two of the windows in the extra classroom the dance team used for practice. A light sheen of sweat covered Kage's skin. It was late afternoon on a day the dance team didn't meet...but that didn't stop Kage from wanting to practice. Her corckscrew pigtails bounced around her head as she grabbed a quick drink, then moved back into place. With a flick of the remote, the music was blasting through the air again and a serious look came onto Kage's face, accompanied by a rare sight: a smile. Kage's body took off the moment she heard the que. She found her smile growing wider as she moved through the turns and thrusts, jumps and steps. The song wasn't particularly her style, but she found it very easy to dance to, especially when Washio-sensei had shown her the routine. She was looking forward to the upcoming dance competition, to show off this dance and the others the dance team had been working hard on since April. The song ended and Kage collapsed to the floor, breathing heavily. She was apprehensive about some of the dances. The girls all had a huge number they were doing together. The boys did, too. A few of their better dancers had solos, Kage, Ageha, and Spencer to name a few. Kage had also been asigned a trio with Spencer and Souta and she was TERRIFIED. There was a point in the song where Spencer would touch her shoulder and push her down. They hadn't put it into practice yet, but the coreography was beautiful. And Kage was terrified. After a short break, Kage was back on her feet and ready to dance again. She turned on the music and started her practice once more. ( The dance)

With the Idol Club not meeting today and, for once, nothing else to do with her evening, it was as good a time as any for Ageha to practice. Her bedroom had finally grown too cluttered with piles of clothing and discarded shoes to do it there, and she was more than sure the staff hadn't cleaned it yet.
It was a little annoying. She didn't want to have to stay at school any longer than she absolutely had to.
Her bag swung at her side, already stuffed with her uniform, which she'd replaced with a loose t-shirt and thin leggings, her hair yanked back into a ponytail. The moment she drew toward the door, she heard music going, loud and faintly... familiar.
Oh, God, that .。.:*☆Kage☆*:.。. girl was here. Ugh, why... that was that last person Ageha wanted to see or be seen by! She took everything back. This was annoying. She'd take a messy room over this. It was bad enough Kage was forced on her as her vice-captain; she had to be around Kage all the time already!
She'd made up her mind to practice here, though, so she stepped in anyway. Ageha rummaged through her bag, producing a black compact and a lipstick tube, and let her bag drop by the closest desk. She hadn't bothered with retouching her makeup because she assumed she'd be alone, but... Whatever. Maybe she'd have ended up being seen by someone anyway.
She sat on the desk, taking to running lipstick over her lips.

Kage faintly registered the sound of the classroom door sliding open. She'd recognize that snooty attitude anywhere. Ageha had a way of making her presence known, especially around Kage. It wasn't that Kage hated Ageha, no. She hated Ageha's attitude. Kage wasn't sure if Ageha was one of the kids who made fun of her or not, but she wouldn't put it passed her. The only time Kage managed to get along with the girl was during practices(sometimes) and when they were discussing their mutual dislike of Finn.
Kage finished the umpteenth runthrough of her routine just as Ageha was settling herself in. The music ended and Kage stopped the cd.
"Okamoto-senpai," she greeted, a little colder than she had meant to. "I wasn't expecting anyone to come by today. I figured I'd have the room to myself."
She hated practicing at home. Her grandmother didn't like the music the school had chosen, nor the fact that Kage was....what had the woman said? 'Parading around, showing off her goods to the world'? It had certainly made Keagan and Duncan tease Kage for weeks.
"If you want, I can go...or..." Kage thought about it. There was a couple of group dances for the girls and boys. Three of which Kage and Ageha were in together. Washio-sensei had also assigned a duet to Kage and Ageha as a way to 'help them work out their differences'. "We could work on the group routines or our duet." Kage was TRYING to be respectful here. The keyword was TRYING.

While the music had stopped, Ageha didn't realize she'd been noticed until Kage spoke to her—and she nearly flinched. In the seconds it took for her to regain her bearings, she was thankful she hadn't really flinched. Who knows how Kage would have reacted? She'd heard the stories, and, even without them, it would have just been embarrassing.
As Kage spoke, Ageha narrowed her eyes, a response primed and waiting at the edge of her tongue. It didn't come. For once, Kage said something... not annoying. It actually made sense. A little. They did have all those routines together, it'd be a waste for them to be in the same room and not work them, even if she wasn't thrilled about them.
She responded with a stiff nod. "Fine. You'll need it anyway." Kage did such basic routines, she had to not have been very experienced. Ageha bent to put her lipstick back, plucking out a tube of liquid eyeliner. She still had to touch up her wings. "Pick whatever, okay? I'm busy."

Kage sighed, shaking her head, a look of distain on her face. Ageha could have at least PRETENDED to be civil, but no. She had to treat Kage like crap. Just like everybody else. Everyone underestimated her and Kage was going to show them that this common little farm girl could make it with the big leagues. She shook her hands loose and moved into position for their duet, lowering herself to the floor and pressing her stomach to the ground.
"Hurry up," she warned, "...it's starting."
Kage barely gave Ageha the chance to get into position before the music picked up and Kage began to routine. It WAS a little more advanced than what she was used to, but it helped her learn, and heaven forbid she'd EVER let Ageha get the upper hand. Kage was just as good. No. Better. She'd been training for this her entire life and she was NOT about to let ANYONE ruin this for her. Not even Ageha.
She smiled, despite who her partner was. It was fun. She had to admit it. She loved to dance and Ageha was quite the rival. Even if she was a bitch. When the routine ended, Kage took a step back away from Ageha.
"Show me that step again," she stated, mimicing the part of the routine where they switched places. "I always seem to misstep there." Kage's voice had taken on a business-like tone. No admiration. No discontent. They were working and it was best they get along now so that the routine was perfect by the time the competition rolled around.

Spencer, apparently, had the same idea as Kage and Ageha - he had some extra time after school and didn't feel like doing actual work. Might as well dance, right? He had brought a change of clothes this morning (his amazing WAFFLE-O shirt and a pair of weird baggy shorts from Uniqlo), fully intending on coming here. Unfortunately, he had failed to account for other people showing up. He snuck into the room from the other entrance, taking his earbuds out of his ears, letting them hang loose around his neck. Spencer leaned against the wall and crossed his arms, watching Kage. He was pretty sure he'd seen her before. She talked a lot during practice. Oh yeah, she was the vice-captain or something, wasn't she? He ran his hand through his hair, squinting just the tiniest bit. He didn't want to do this. "I'm pretty sure you're both kind of off," he offered, raising his voice just enough to be heard clearly. Well, to be frank, Kage was really the only one that seemed to be struggling. As much as he hated to admit it, Ageha was a really good dancer. So was Kage, but Ageha just clearly had more experience and sometimes that edged out all the ~passion and motivation~... he would know.

Ageha frowned through the last stroke of her eyeliner. Why did Kage insist on rushing -- and who did she think she was, with her stupid squid ring hair? Ageha bit back the urge to mock her—again, she'd heard stories—and hurried over, just barely making her cue. The rest of the dance went okay. This style wasn't her usual choice, and she didn't know the song well, so while the movements were comparatively simple, it was harder for her to get into the rhythm.
(It would have helped a lot more if Kage had waited for her to finish her makeup like a reasonable person!)
Regardless of her own issues, she thought she knew where Kage messed up. Spencer spoke up before Ageha could answer, and the sound of his voice sent her whirling towards him, squinting.
Unbelievable!
"Where did you come from?!" Not only did she have to deal with Kage, but Spencer too?

She couldn't believe how late it was. Archery practice was suppose to be over about 20 minutes ago and they had to run it over. After literally throwing on the dance workout sweats of black capri and a lose green t-shirt she grabbed her bag and ran out of the locker room. Shiro rushed to the extra classroom she promised her friend to practice their dance.
Kage and her were practicing for a while a song Shiro wanted to do so badly. It took her a while to even convince her friend to dance with her. Thankfully she had some help from their dance teacher to get permission to even perform this dance. Yet that wasn't the only dance they needed to work on. There were their solos and a few others as well.
Not really paying attention to who else might be in the room she slide the door slamming it open of the main entrance. She needed to caught her breath holding herself with her hands on her knees.
"Kage.... (groan) I'm here... archery practice went.... over and..." She managed to say finally looking up with her blue eyes and spots two of her upper classmates were there as well.
"Oh. Reznik-senpai...Okamoto-senpai...(pant)...Hi."

Kage had never been happier to see Spencer. Still, the fear began to set in and it took all of Kage's strength not to panic. She looked around the room for a moment. Washio-sensei had videos of the choreography so that they could use it to study. From what Kage understood, the chorgeography was put together by an old high school friend, as Washio-sensei couldn't actually dance. Kage didn't mind it. The woman allowed them to change things and personalize the routines as much as they wanted. And she allowed them to pick the songs. She was just there to help with choreography and keeping the peace.
Still, Kage was trapped. She was stuck in a room with Ageha....who she hated and Spencer...who terrified her. Just as she found the box with the dvds and went to set up the tv hanging on the wall in the room to go over the routine again, the door slid open and Kage couldn't have been happier to see her fellow Hostess and close friend.
"Murtair," she greeted, obviously happier now that Shiro was here and using her petname for her. "Washio-sensei has the choreography for the song. We can go over it today if we have the time."

"Shut up, Ageha! Jesus!" Spencer snapped, glaring at Ageha. She was so annoying. "Shouldn't you be preparing to descend back to Hell?"
Honestly! Didn't she have better things to do, like not be in his presence? It was bad enough he had to see her almost every day because Ryan adored her (for some reason) and now he had to see and be seen by her here? Ugh.
Spencer was about to peel himself off the wall and actually show the girls what he had been talking about, but then someone else ran in so loudly he jumped, moving away from the wall automatically. He knew them, sort of, but he didn't remember their name. That was kind of a running theme with him lately. Whoever it was, she knew his name. That, he was used to.
Apparently, he'd been forgotten about. Well, that was fine with him. He slid down to the floor, pulling his phone out. "Merida, Kouhai, like... is it cool if I just sit here?"

"If I do go, I'm dragging you with me, you jackass!" Ageha shot back, crossing her arms. "Someone needs to put you back in your crate!"
Ageha jutted her nose into the air and whirled back toward Kage. "Look, do you want to go somewhere else?" She muttered to Kage. She may have been annoying and subpar, but she hadn't reached unbearable levels, like Spencer. "I don't want to be around him right now. You can bring your..." She drew her eyes up toward Shiro, squinting a little. "Friend... with you, I guess."

When she heard that their teacher left some videos for them to learn some of their dances, Shiro was excited. "Ok Kage."
She ran over to where her friend's stuff was dropping her own bags and got herself ready. Okamoto seemed to be a little bit harsh today as normal which kind of made practicing hard. But she was sort of use to it. Yet she knew her best friend was having problems already that Reznik-senpai was in the room. She knew about Kage's fear of men and well always looked out for her.
After setting up her wristband with an emblem of a black wing on her left wrist, Shiro ran over to Kage to check out the videos. It seemed though that Okamoto-senpai didn't want to practice with Reznik around. "Um.... Should we work on that group dance Washio-sensei was talking about the other day?"

Kage raised an eyebrow at Ageha's sudden change in attitude. What was it about Spencer that Ageha didn't like? Kage didn't particularly have a problem with him. She had a problem with men in general. They terrified her. She bit her lip as she tried to decide what to do. She really wanted to learn from Ageha, not that their team captain cared to actually WORK with her. She either critisized Kage all together or treated her like crap. THAT much, Kage didn't care about. Almost everyone alienated her or made her feel like crap....but the fact that Ageha was team captain and should be willing to teach her fellow teammates, especially the vice-captain, tended to piss Kage off. Washio-sensei had made her vice-captain because she believed Kage was good 'leader material'. Kage didn't see it and despite her protesting, Kage was stuck....so she took on her duties with the determination to do the job right.
"Okamoto-senpai, I don't see why we cannay-" She winced as the two started arguing. Dammit, what was she suppossed to DO? Ageha wanted to switch rooms and leave Spencer here but Kage knew if she didn't stay and fight her urge to run, she'd NEVER be comfortable with dancing with him and Souta.
"I really think we should stay. Spencer could help us practice and there are those group dances we still need ter work on."

Alright, okay then. Spencer busied himself with his phone for the moment, replying to some messages he'd received. Nothing particularly exciting was going on right now. At least he wasn't missing anything, but that also meant he didn't have anything to use as an excuse to leave. Not that he would or anything. He'd have to make the long, lonely walk to the station all by himself!
He didn't bother to hide a wide yawn, staring at the three girls. "I would be down to practice, you know. It's kind of why I came down here. I didn't just wander over to get shrieked at by a miniature-sized harpy." He eyed Ageha, then looked back at Kage. At least neither of them particularly liked Ageha.
"Also, I wouldn't mind practicing any of our group things in particular," he admitted, shooting a quick wink and what he hoped was a friendly smile towards Kage. She always seemed to take shit in a really weird way. "It'd be fun."

Ageha narrowed her eyes at Kage.
"Okay," she sighed out. "Fine. If you want ~ter practice~ so bad, let's practice." God, now she'd have to deal with Munro, her weird friend, and that idiot Spencer all at the same time. She'd sort of anticipated a few annoying people when she applied to become captain, but she didn't expect it to be this bad!
This was her job, though. She couldn't deny them the opportunity to practice, especially with the competition looming so close. Bias wasn't something a good captain should have. Her old senpai wasn't biased.
"Which routine do you want to do first?"
