[Day: Thursday; About an hour after school with no clubs]
Crystal opened the doors to the Petal Bakery, letting Treasa and Michi in first before following in. "Let's get some menus so we can figure out what we want. From there, I can get it so we don't have too much of a wait." She told them, grabbing two menus and handed one to each of them. She led them a bit further back to a corner table after greeting the lady named Yukani that was behind the counter.
She pulled out one of the chairs, sitting down and smiled. "Make sure to get drinks too along with anything you want to try. I don't mind sharing either if you two want to taste but don't want order the full thing."

Kage always loved the way the bakery smelled. Her favorite things to get were always the pastries or the different breads. Her favorite was the cinnamon bread. She'd buy loaves to take home and freeze so she could have them with her tea on her days off. Kage already knew she'd be going home with some more. Her stock was running low. She wondered if Keagan was sneaking slices.
She followed Crystal to the table and sat down. She always loved this place. "Is yer Gran here?" The elderly woman was always so patient with Kage. She often told Kage wonderful stories. Apparently the bakery had been her mother's favorite hangout. Kage's own grandmother never talked about Natsumi. This was Kage's only way of getting to know the mother she lost so early.
"Uh....I'll have..." she looked through the menu and a smile came over her face. "The German Pound Cake and some Scottish Black Tea."

Michiko rushed toward the display case as soon as she entered the bakery, forgetting instantly about the menu Crystal gave to her. It was always better to see the selection up close. Waaa, there were always so many cakes here, it was amazing! Times like this filled Michiko with gratefulness that Crystal was her friend. She got to eat cake much more often than usual. But Kuri-chan was the luckiest, really, for getting to live here. She could have cake whenever she wanted! A high, wondrous noise leaked from Michiko's throat while she perused. She'd made it her mission a long time ago to have something new every time she came here, but it was still always so hard to pick. Chocolate cake, cupcakes, cream puffs, strawberry cake, Napoleon… Oh!Her gaze came to a stop at that familiar dome shape, lined completely with light brown frosting, a thick wafer wedged into the peak. She hadn't had montblanc in such a long time. "I'd like the montblanc!" Ah, wait, but what to drink with it? She knew all about pairing tea with sweets, but she had to check the selection, and -- The moment she tried to adjust the menu to read it, it plunked to the floor. Frowning, Michiko knelt to retrieve it, scanning over the tea selection. "Ah… and Darjeeling, too." She was mostly sure Darjeeling was best with something like montblanc…

Crystal waited until they both told her what she wanted and smiled. "I'll get that for us then. Hmmm and she should be..." She said answering her girlfriend's question and smiled. "I'll be right back, girls!"
And as Crystal disappeared to the kitchen in the back, an elderly woman in black pants, a pink shirt and an apron that was covered in splatters of flour, frosting and other cooking materials. She smiled right to girls who were friends of her granddaughter. "Why hello girls. Its been some time since Crystal has brought her friends into the bakery."

Kage planted a kiss on her girlfriend's cheek before she disappeared. Kage knew public displays of affection were usually frowned upon in this country, but Kage was a foreigner and she liked those stolen moments.
Her eyes darted to the elderly woman and a smile graced her lips. "Hello, ma'am," she greeted. Kage always felt so comfortable here. It reminded her of the afternoons her mother would spend in the kitchen of their little farmhouse, baking up something sweet for desert that night. Her mother had been a decent cook, though Kage did remember a few accidents in the kitchen.
"With the play and school, I haven't been able ter stop by as often. How are ye?" she asked.

Michiko busied herself with trying to stow the menu she borrowed in its proper place. Turning, she peered over to find where they all were supposed to sit, finding it easily since the bakery was nearly empty.
The appearance of Crystal’s grandmother sent Michiko pulling up from her chair (she’d sat down halfway!) to manage a hasty half bow. ”Good evening!”

Iria smiled to the two girls, looking to Michi mainly at the moment. "Sit dear, you are here to have a good time and relax. A simple hello, will do." She said brightly before turning to Kage. "I've been well, thank you, Treasa. I've heard that the play is going well so far." She said before a glint of proudness shown in her eyes. "I have heard that a 'Michi-chan' has been making the wonderful costumes....now would that be you, my dear?" She asked taking the extra seat for herself and looked to Michi.
Iria always had a foundness to sit and speak with her granddaughter's friends. She loved to learn who she was around and what those friends were into. It was quite interesting to where common ground lied and who attracted who. She let out a small chuckle at the thought. "Come now, girls. Let's speak a bit while Crystal prepares your requests for drink and snacks."

Kage grinned. "Michi's amazin'. The costumes are beautiful...she even managed to make an unclassy girl like me pretty," she said with a grin directed at Michi. Kage loved singing Michi's praises, especially about the show. It was one of the first things they'd bonded over, after all. Even if Kage had next to no fashion sense, she loved looking at Michi's sketches.
Kage was pretty sure Michi was gonna kill her for going on like this, but Kage couldn't help it.

Michiko felt heat spreading across her face as she sat down. When mention of her costuming started up, the heat flowed right to her ears and neck. She wasn't sure what was making her more flustered—the fact that she was being complimented, or that she was getting flustered over being complimented in the first place.
“Ah… that's true.” Her gaze fell to her lap. She didn't want to deny anything. After all, she didn't spent countless evenings slaving over sketchbooks and sewing machines and reaching outside of her comfort zone for second opinions for nothing… It felt nice to be acknowledged, even if it was… sudden. Yet even now this sort of praise felt a lot different from before, with Wakahisa-san, though Michiko couldn't pin how. “I don't think the final costumes would be as beautiful if I didn't have help from everyone else, but… thank you.”
She managed a faint smile.
