As the final bell rang, Scarlett leaned back in her seat and stretched. Now would usually be the time for extra curricular activities for most of the people in their class and the other people standing up and filing out of the classroom was enough to see that. Usually she would have had cheerleading practice but half the team had flu so there was really no point in practicing with less than half the team.
Looking out the window she hummed quietly, tapping her nails on her desk. It hadn't been an eventful day, she'd had a drama rehearsal at lunchtime but it wasn't like she had much to do. The joys of playing Nessarose meant that for most of the musical she was in a wheelchair, often pushed around by other people. It was quite fun, that was sure. Sho had turned up halfway through the rehearsal smirking.
Actually, he'd been smirking all day long, he kept catching her eye and grinning like he knew something she didn't. It was getting on her nerves. She wanted to appear indifferent but she was just so damn curious about what had him looking as confident as an information broker.
Looking up again, she noticed that most of the people in the classroom had left, save for a few students scattered around, either talking or reading. She reached into her bag, pulling out her 3DS and turning it on. She had at least an hour before the driver was due at school and she had a lot of shells to sell on Animal Crossing in that time.

Sho had been leaning back in his seat grinning to himself since classed had started. And since it had ended he was still grinning. It was like he knew the what meaning of life and he just couldn't wait to tell someone about. Glancing over at Scarlett he chuckle and stood up.
There was only a few people in the class room so he could do this now. But it was way more fun to let the red suffer a bit longer. She kept trying to figure out what was on his mind since he had came to see her at practice.
As the last bit of people left Sho walked over to Scarlett desk and rested his elbows on it while face sat in his two hands. "Hi Rika~ How are you today?" He asked in the most sugary annoying voice ever.

Scarlett lowered her 3DS slowly, scowling at Sho over the top of it.So he'd finally decided to grace her with his presence had he? Well he could wait, she was selling her stuff at Re-Tail. She brought her Nintendo up again, focusing on the job at hand.
"I'm fine. No thanks to you." She scowled at the screen and finally put it down, putting her stylus on the screen. She squinted at him, scrutinizing him.
"Why are you so full of yourself today? Well, you're always full of yourself but today you're impossible!" She saved her game and quit, snapping it shut, then folding her arms and fixing him with a steely look, "Why are you looking as smug as a cat? What's happened?" She leaned back raising an eyebrow, "Don't tell me you've finally got a new girlfriend and come to brag about it?"

"No thanks to me? But I haven't done a thing to you Rika." He replied as he poked her forehead. "And I have to be full of myself because no one is going to do it for me."
Sho opened his mouth and placed a hand over his chest as if she just insulted him. "I can't believe you would think I would do that! I am a gentlemen! That's how my momma taught me." He added a nodded and kept grinning.
"But I do know something~ And it so juicy, and I know it's killing you inside to know. The funny thing is it's about you my dear."

She scowled at him as he poked her forehead and she waved a hand quickly, to get his hand away from her face, "Don't do that, it's not cute, it's demeaning." She pushed his hand away, "Secondly you have done something, you've been a damn pain today."
At the announcement that the gossip was about her, her eyes widened for a minute before she squinted at him. She put her 3DS in her bag quickly and leaned forward onto her desk, still staring directly at him.
"You better elaborate on that Sho otherwise you're going out of the window." She tapped her nails on the desk in a slow rhythm, scrutinizing Sho, "Go on. If you have something so great you better spit it out."

"Now how are you going to get anything outta me if you threw me out the window?" He asked with a smug look on his face. Sho was enjoying this way to much but hey. He sat up and folded his arm. "Now now don't tap to hard. You may just break a nail." He said in a picking tone.
As he notice her death glare he sighed and waved a. "Okay okay, let me go ahead and tell you before your face turn as red as your hair "
Flopping down on a desk beside her he then kicked his feet up."So Miss. Rika I know that you have a huge crush on a older guy. Sho let the words fall out calmly as he kept a grinning at her.

As soon as he said it she stopped tapping, her hand smacking down onto her desk and remaining there. Some of their classmates looked up at the sound but carried on with whatever they were doing soon enough.
Scarlett's eyes never left Sho's face, his smug, git-like face, who did he think he was?! Most of all, how had he found out? She kept it very under lock and key when she liked someone, she was subtle, and she prided herself on being subtle, but if even Sho could see who she liked then she was dead!
"I'd quibble with the use of the term 'huge', I don't have a huge crush, I'm not bending over backwards to see him or anything." Scarlett scowled at him, "I want to know how you know too, so you better start talking." She leaned back, looking down her nose at him, "How do you know? Where did I slip up?"
She leaned close, glaring at him, "How. Do. You. Know?"

He watch her hand slam on the desk. It didn't really put fear in his heart. What it ment to?? Anyway he rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"Okay for one I'm pretty sure your hand hurts, two I don't have to a damn thing but keep acting like Sho and die." Sho was having way to much fun with this, yeah it was kind of mean. Very mean but he could do that to her. They had been friends since they was little.
"It don't matter if you did or didn't Rika. You like the guy what's the big deal? And I know because I saw you flirting with him after practice the other day. You don't flirt with just anyone."
He went quite for a second and looked into her eyes. "I'm Sho remember? I'm way smarter then you really think I am."

Scarlett rolled her eyes and looked away, waving a hand at him, "Sorry, did you say something? It sounded like noise." She sat quietly for a minute, staring out the window and letting him rattle on. For a few minutes she didn't reply, resuming tapping her nails on the desk. After a few minutes she looked around again, propping her head up in her hand, watching him quietly. The hostility was gone but she looked cross.
"The big deal is that nobody can find out about this. Nobody can find out that I like him, or whatever, okay?" She waved a hand in front of his face, "If you're really so smart, you'll know that if one person finds out, they tell someone else, they'll tell another person, and eventually everyone in school finds out, and by 'everyone', I mean Finn finds out." She lowered her hand and frowned, "You know Finn thinks I'm 5, the idea of me liking anyone would probably give him a heart attack."
She was quiet again, looking down at her nails quietly, "And It doesn't matter anyway, he didn't realize I was flirting with him." She pouted her lips slightly, paying extra close attention to her nails, visibly disappointed, "I don't think he's interested."

"No one else knows but me and I'm not going to run around telling everyone your business. What kind of friend do you think I am?" He made a face at her and shook his again. The nerve of this girl!! He felt a bit hurt, but then got over it quickly. Dude you are going into high school next year. Finn better get over it."
As everything got quite again he looked over at her a raised a brow. He could see the disappointment on her face. Sho won't sure it the disappointment was from her nails or from the guy. Groaning a bit he ran a hand in his hair.
"Maybe he is just stupid. He could you know like you too and just don't know how to realize it."

She watched him for a minute, analyzing every detail of his face to try and check for any potential lying. Eventually she seemed satisfied and shifted her chair so she could put her feet up on the chair of the desk he was sitting on.
"Fine. I think you're an annoying friend, who always winds me up and drives me bonkers." She was quiet then added, "But still my best friend." She listened to him prattle on for a bit and the tight, clenched feeling in her stomach slowly started to ease. The classroom was pretty empty save for them now so it wasn't like they'd be overheard or anything.
"Wait." Scarlett looked up again, "He's not stupid." Waving her hand, she tried to grasp for words, "He's precious! He's not stupid at all! He just--" She stopped, "He just doesn't get it when I'm subtle."

"I have to. I'm your bestfriend I have the right." He smirked and winked. As she tried to find the right words for the guy Sho just gave her a blink out.
"Slow, Don't got em all,...Stupid?" He said then laughed a bit. "Maybe his one if those types that you have to tell him and not drop hints."
He thought for a second then grin evilly. "Or you can also do a sexy dance maybe he'll get it then."

"He's not stupid!" Scarlett glared at him, "Just because he's not an arrogant toerag like you who thinks every girl in the world flirts with him, doesn't mean he's slow!"
She stared at him at his next suggestion, "I can't just tell him. What kind of a stupid idea is that? I am not blunt, I'm not just gonna walk up to him and tell him I like him," She pinched the bridge of her nose, "Nope, I don't do blunt, that is out of the question."
At his final suggestion she glared at him, "You're an asshole, shut up or I really will throw you out of the window." She looked at her desk again, "I'm the best at flirting I know, it's just..." She frowned, then sighed running her hands through her hair, "It's maddening."

Sho cut his eyes at her hard and mumbled something again. "There is nothing wrong with being blunt. I told I liked you up front and we dated for a whole two months."
"Your not, I weigh more then you and you're not even going to try if the thought of breaking a nail comes up." He said boldly as he looked way from her. "Rika you're over thinking this. Just damnnit tell him. Matter of fact text him and tell him. Give me your phone I'll do it for you."

"I never said there was anything wrong with being blunt, it's just not my thing to be blunt." Scarlett waved her hand, "It works for you, clearly it does, I like you for being blunt because I'm not." She frowned, searching through her bag and finding her makeup case, pulling her nail file out and slowly filing her nails, "You see where I'm going with this?"
At the suggestion of texting him she stared at him as though he'd grown a second head, "I'm not giving you my phone, are you mad?!" She grabbed her phone and held it well out of Sho's reach, staring him down, "The last time you got hold of my phone you hacked my Statbook, and I wouldn't trust you to text him! You'll say something weird or creepy!"
