The gym was practically empty, except for a single figure; a rather tall girl wearing a white Aikido uniform, with her messy red hair pushed out of her face with a black sports headband. Her hands were raised, one foot standing in front of the other, her knees bent slightly. She was breathing a bit heavily, and she had a determined, fiery look in her eyes.
This was one of the few times that Kagami was truly expressive; right now, in the midst of her practicing she looked truly passionate about something. Very few people had seen that of her in this school. Working her body to its limit, training till her muscles were sore, this is what Kagami Ohime lived for. She had been practicing her routines all day, throwing punches sat the air, taking down invisible opponents. And for a minute, she actually felt... Good.
After a moment she allowed herself to relax, straightening up to her full height. With a sigh she walked over to the empty bleachers, pulling a water bottle out of a small bag sitting on one of the seats. After a swig of water, Kagami placed it back in and rolled her shoulders around, working some of the ache out of her muscles. She could go for another round, she decided, noting that her father wouldnt be expecting her home until some time after school. With a small nod to herself, she walked back out to the center of the gym and took her stance again, throwing a few hits at the air as she had before.

Yuri stretched as she had changed into something much more comfortable for her gymnastics. This was one the few times people would see her in any type of messy clothing. She wore grey tights, her feet bare, a simple pink sports bra and nothing else. Her hair, which was normally let down was now pulled back into a messy bun, her headband with her uniform and had a towel and water bottle with her as she headed into the gym. She looked around before entering, smiling as she was the first one to the opened gym for practice. Though she knew that Kai and Sayuri would definitely be here. Ahhh, two people that she was always happy to see.
She opened the door and blinked when she saw someone that she didn't like in the gym; Kagami. She may be a Hostess like Yuri, herself, and her younger sister, Kai....but that didn't mean crap to Yuri. She did not like the older girl at all....and her height only added to that hate. Yuri narrowed her eyes, clearing her throat rather loudly as she walked in and over to some other benches placing her things down. Once she did, she ignored Kagami and went to gather some mats so that things would be somewhat ready when the other girls on her team arrived.

Sayuri was pretty happy to get back to practicing with the gymnastics team regularly! The members of the gymnastics club were always so kind and after winning the national gymnastics trophy for the middle school division for Ouran Academy the year before she was excited to be moving onto the high school categories at the national competitions.
Changing into a pink leotard and pulling on her light green cardigan she tied her hair into a bun, then picked up her bag quickly and headed to the gym, a small smile present on her face as her bare feet pattered over the floor.
She opened the door to the gym, looking inside. Yuri was here which was good, Yuri was always kind to her and then there was-- Oh no. She knew who this was and she wasn't happy. Not at all! That was Kagami! Kagami was scary and cruel and-- why was she even here! She looked like she was ready to punch someone and Sayuri didn't want it to be her!
Sayuri swallowed then padded into the gym quickly, putting her bag down gently beside Yuri's on the bench before hurrying over to Yuri to help her get more mats out. Her face was pale due to Kagami's presence, she was so worried she'd get punched just for looking at the older girl! And she didn't want to get hurt!

Footsteps echoed through the halls as a small girl ran through them, slipping slightly as she literally ran into the door, sending it flying open. She yellow uniform dress flew out behind her as she ran into the gymnasium, her cheeks flushed.
"Hey!" Kai cried out. "Sorry Im late you guys, I had a-"
Her words caught when she saw who else was in the room. Kais face broke into a smile. "Onee- chan!"
kai jogged up to her older sister, smiling cheerfully. It was almost as though the tension in the room was completely lost on her. "What're you doing here? Practicing?"
kai glanced over when she heard her teammates preparing the mats. "Oh! I've gotta go help!" With a wave to Yuri and Sayuri before dashing into the locker room. Once there, she quickly changed into a simple pair of pink shorts and a black tanktop. Reaching up, she untied her long hair and put it back up in a sloppy bun- like style, before jogging back out to the gym.
"Yuri- chan! Sayuri- chan!" She waved excitedly as she approached them, helping them to drag the last of the mats into place before reaching downwards and touching the floor with the palms of her hand, stretching out her lower legs. "Im excited to be able to practice with you guys!" Her eyes shifted back over to kagami for a moment before re-focusing on the task at hand.

Kagami was pretty absorbed in her routine when the other girl came in, so much so that she almost didnt notice. That is, until the obnoxious sound of her clearing her throat reached her. The red- head looked over, her eyes narrowing at the girl; Shiroyuri.
Kagami held nothing but disdain for her fellow Hostess. She was a snob, she was full of herself and she just had SOMETHING that never failed t piss Kagami off. She glared at the girl as she turned from her, and she tried to do the same; turn around and mind her own business, but then a second girl entered the gym.
With a sigh of irritation, the black belt turned and saw the other girl join Shiroyuri. She seemed to purposefully avoiding any possible contact or interaction with her, and while Kagami didnt mind that it made her wonder. Had she ever said anything to this girl? had she been mean to her?
Whatever, it didnt matter. It wasnt until the doors opened with a crash! that Kagami turned around again, about ready to bark out an insult at someone being so loud and reckless, but stopping in her tracks. her face instantly softened and she ell silent.
Her sister. She watched as the little girl bounded over to her excitedly, nodding at her questions. "yeah. Dad wants me to have a couple things down by next week, so..." She shruged, irritating her sore muscles again, not to mention a bruise that was spreading across her back shoulder blade.
If anyone were to look closely, they would have saw Kais smile fade by the tiniest bit at that comment, but it was hidden expertly as she ran off to change. Kagami sighed, resigning herself to having to share the gym with a whole group of people. She walked over to where her bag was, with the intention to move it to the opposite side of the room. Unfortunately, this required her walking passed Shiroyuri, with whom she shared a dangerous glare before snatching her bag and strolling to the opposite side of the gym.

Yuri couldn't help but smile to Sayuri when she arrived to help her with the mats. "Hi, Saya-chan." She greeted before looking over to Kagami and whispered to the girl. "Don't let that brute keep you quite. You're voice is too cute for you to hide it." Welp, there was Tamaki-senpai rubbing off on her, along with her title of being a Hostess.
It was when Kai came stumbling in that Yuri almost dropped a mat in surprised, sighing with relief when her friend wasn't hurt and she didn't break any nails. Double yays~ "Kai, no matter how cute you are, you can be a clutz at times. It's quiet adorable, you know." From the minute that Yuri met Kai in homeroom, she saw the other girl as a sister. One thing Yuri could always be proud to say was that she was a big sister to three siblings. It made her who person swell with happiness.
At Kai's excitement to practice with everyone, she couldn't help but grin. She was excited to as well. Once the finished setting up the mats and began stretching, Yuri noticed that Kagami was walking towards the bags. There it was; that all too famous 'dangerous' glare from the brute. She sighed and gave a similar glare back to the older student before continuing to stretch. She stopped mid-way however to cover her mouth as she yawned, frowning slightly as she had hoped that she had gotten enough sleep the night before.

Sayuri's heart seemed to swell in her chest from Yuri's words and she felt her cheeks grow hot. "You're too kind Yuri-Chan... I just don't have much to say..." She really was fortunate to have friends like Yuri and Kai. They made her feel very welcome.
And now Kai was here as well! Bumbling around everywhere like the little social butterfly she was. It confused Sayuri deeply how sisters could be so different... Kai was the polar opposite of Kagami who was... well. To be quite frank she was scary, but Kai was as friendly as could be. How very curious.
"I-I'm excited to practice with you too Kai-Chan..." Her sentence petered off towards the end when she noticed Kagami was on the move. It was the glare she sent at Yuri that scared her! Hadn't Yuri heard the rumors? Surely everyone knew! One of the second year students who lived in the dormitories told her!
'She glared at someone once and they died!'
That was horrifying! She didn't want to die if she was glared at! She stared resolutely at the floor, clenching her fists then wrapped her arms around herself.
Once Kagami had passed she looked up slowly, hugging her cardigan even closer to herself before she something that made her blink. Kagami's white Aikido uniform, slightly loose at the back of her neck and her skin was... darker? Did she spill something on her back? Did she hurt herself? What if she'd been in a fight?! Someone must have challenged her for scariest in school and she must have won! How terrifying!

Kai rubbed the back of her head, a smile on her face as Yuri spoke to her. "Hey, Im not that much of a clutz. I mean, I know I run into things a lot and I trip all the time and..." She stopped, giving a tiny giggle; maybe she was as clumsy as she said. Sh smiled at Yuri and Sayuri, (who she had affectionately nicknames Saya-chan)
As usual, Kai was rather oblivious. She had a habit of not noticing things around her, and so she was rather unaware of the tension between her sister and, well... everyone else in the room. She was so excited about being able to practice her routines with her friends, and maybe her Onee- chan would watch her! The only time Kagami ever really saw Kai do anything like this is when Kai cheered at her games. But even then, her sister was so absorbed she barely noticed.
Kai couldnt help but notice that Sayuri was looking at said sister, and when she followed her gaze, the color drained from her face; the bruise across kagamis back was just barely visable under her uniform. Kai clutched her hands together; kagami wouldnt like it if she knew her friend had noticed the injury. and what if she inquired to its origin?
"Uh... Saya- chan!" Kai moved so she stood in front of Sayuri, demanding her attention with a large smile. "Do you remember how the latest routine went? The one with the pinwheel? I forgot." She laughed cheerfully, playfully knocking her knuckles against the side of her head.

The only thing that annoyed Kagami about Shiroyuri more then her general attitude was the fact that she just... could never seem to intimidate her. Kagami was so used to people like the other girl with her. She was clearly intimidated by her, and the Hostess was accustomed to that. But the stupid priss just would not falter, and that made the red-head all the more enraged.
LIkewise, the girl would not have been happy if she had known that her little blemish had been noticed. She turned when she heard Kai talking, her eyebrows furrowed slightly; she knew her sister well enough to know when she was acting or when something was off, and something was definitely off judging by the way she was talking.
Kagamis one redeaming quality, the one thing that noone (not even Shiroyuri) could argue was her love for her sister. Kagami was painfully protective of her and she took a few steps in her direction, planning to pull her away from her friends and demand what was wrong. But she stopped; she was in the middle of something and she wasnt freaking out... She was ok, for now.
The older girl turned back away, stretching her arms over her head for a minute, wincng slightly, before taking her stance again. Throwing a few hits, she swung her leg aroud in a high kick, then leaping onto the other foot for a rebound. She landed in the same position she had started it, ducking and dodging to the left as though moving out of the way of somebody elses hits. She felt a bit awkward; she didnt like practicing in front of people that much, but playing on sports teams had made her grow accustomed to it.

Yuri chuckled lightly at what Sayuri had say, that girl was adorable. Kai as well in her own way; she was a Hostess after all! Yuri didn't notice that Sayuri seemed concerned at seeing something, her eyes closed from another yawn she gave. She frowned lightly, looking up with surprise when she heard Kai talking and waving in front of Sayuri.
"Kai, you know that routine almost perfectly. You're the one that's been helping the first years." She commented and stood up. "Are you getting nervous that you've forgotten it?" She asked now looking concerned. "Will you be alright?"

Sayuri looked up in surprise when Kai suddenly popped up and she blinked a few times, momentarily forgetting about Kagami. Hadn't Kai already perfected that routine? She was supposed to be teaching it to the first years...
Yuri's questioning confirmed what she was already thinking. She nodded quickly along with Yuri, "Y-Yeah, Kai-Chan, I'm sure you're worried for nothing, you're really very good." Her eyes slid back to Kagami again, frowning slightly. She headed over to the bench and pulled out her bottle of water. It was still very cold and would probably help for easing a sore shoulder... but she was terrified of Kagami.
The rumors... What if the rumors were true and she'd get sent back to Kyoto in a body bag?!
Swallowing, she shuffled over to Kagami, still nervous, but concerned. After tapping her on the shoulder which didn't seem bruised she held out her water bottle, looking down and talking quietly enough so that Yuri and Kai wouldn't hear them. Just low enough for Kagami to pick up what she was saying.
"Y-Your shoulder looked sore. Please don't push yourself too hard Senpai!"

Kai blinked; she really hadnt thought this through. The other girls were right, she had almost perfected the technique in question and had, in fact, been assigned to help teach it to her fellow first years. A light blush spread over Kais cheeks, but she covered it with a cheerful laugh.
"O-Oh yeah, right@" She clasped her hands together, just a little too tightly. "I guess you're right Yuri- chan, Im just a bit nervous.
She noticed how Yuri looked concerned, and she frowned slightly; she hadnt wanted that. And she was about to say something when she saw Saya- chan grabbing her water bottle and hesitantly walking over to Kagami. Kais eyes widdened; people just... didnt do that. People didnt go up to Kagami and try to talk to her, her sisters hostile personality saw to that. he didnt hear what they said, but Kagami glared at the girl and when she came back Kai quickly spoke up.
"Saya- chan? What did you say? What did SHE say? I'm sorry if she was mean, she really doesnt mean it!" Kai was used to this; smoothing over the impact f her sisters harsh personality. Because she knew that Kagami really didnt mean to be cruel to people. In fact, she was one of the only (if not THE only) person who had ever really seen Kagamis soft side. So she felt obligated to tell others that it actually existed... Even if they would never actually see it.

Kagami nearly jumped when she felt someone tapping her shoulder; people didnt usually... No, people never just came up and tried to touch her like that. Thinking that it had to be her sister (no one else would dare, right?) She lowered her arms from their fighting stance and turned, her face unusually soft.
But no; it wasnt Kai. It was the girl she was practicing with, someone on her gymnastics team; Kagami had never even bothered to learn her name. Immediately, her expression hardened and she stepped back, glaring down at the girl. She was about to tell her to get lost, when...
Wait... She was offering her something? She gaze traveled down to the water bottle in her hands, then her eyes shot open; the girl said something about her shoulder looking sore. Kagami looked up at her, for the smallest of moments a look of fear spreading across her features. The look was gone almost as soon as it appeared, and Kagami shook her head, her bangs falling to cover her eyes. The bruise on her shoulder ached, a brutal reminder of the situation she found herself in.
After a moment of silence, she turned her back on the girl. "I dont want your help." She growled dangerously. "Get out of my face."
As the girl walked away, Kagamis hands curled into fists; a dull pain spread its way through her chest and she gritted her teeth. She never would have admitted it, but part of her felt... bad? Was that how she felt? Whatever. Why was it her problem how that girl responded to her retort? It wasnt.
She picked her fighting stance back up and took a few more swings, but she had lost her rhythm, as shaken up as she was. She shook her arms out, bouncing from one foot to the other trying to get back into the swing of the routine.[/font]

Yuri sighed softly when Kai acted unusually nervous. Was she hiding something? Kai wasn't one to hide anything, right? Yuri's brained racked with questions. Something felt off here. Though those questions couldn't stay in her head forever; not when she saw Saya-chan going up to the brute.
"Saya-chan..." She said waiting until the girl returned and glares over to Kagami. "Are you alright?" She asked her features softening. "You didn't have to do that for her."
It was no surprise that Yuri and Kagami didn't get along but Yuri did at least try to be more civil with her words when Kai was around.

One minute Kagami had just stood there and then she suddenly turned, her belt swinging around and smacking Sayuri around the face. She recoiled suddenly, bottle dropping to the floor with a clatter and her hands finding her face as fast as she could.
Ow. Oww!
Hot tears sprang up at the corners of her eyes, sliding down her cheeks as she held onto the side of her face. It must have been a new belt or something because it hurt as it had smacked her around the face. And the edge had been sharp! Pulling a hand away from her face for a moment she vaguely registered small traces of red.
Oh no. Oh no.
Sparing one last terrified look at Kagami, the red stinging mark and cut visible through her fingers before she rounded and rushed away, abandoning the water bottle on the ground near the terrifying red head.
She wanted to leave, to get out of the gym and find a nurse! It was really hurting and she didn't want to be here at all! But suddenly Kai and Yuri were stopping her from going. Her hands were still held firmly over the side of her face. She wanted to push them away.
"I t-t-told her n-not to push herself!" Sayuri insisted, tears still sliding down her cheeks, "She j-just looked hurt and if she keeps going she'll g-get more hurt!" The tears were flowing at this point and didn't seem to be stopping any time soon. She hiccoughed and looked away, squeezing her eyes shut, hands still covering her face, "Oh, Kai-Chan, she did mean it! Of course she did, she's cruel!" Sayuri shook her head quickly, pulling her trembling fingers away from her face and looking at the blood in the palm of her hand, "It really hurts."
It didn't help that she bruised easily but now she'd have a giant bruise on her face and a cut to boot! This was terrible!
"I have to go." Her hands flew back to her face, covering the red mark and she pushed past Kai and Yuri, rushing out of the gym as fast as she could.
