Ché nodded in understanding, "Right well... I'll help! I can always distract her or... something." He smiled slightly, "Just tell me when you need my help Suzu-Chan, don't worry about a thing!"
Helping himself to a couple of pocky, he hummed thoughtfully, "I think you should just do what makes you happy." He looked up and smiled, still eating his pocky, "If you like it then sing it, don't worry whether people think you're too cool."
But then again, practice what you preach.
"I'm glad you told me Suzu-Chan, I won't tell anyone, I promise!" He put a hand on his heart, "Not a soul!"

She couldn't help but smile. She knew Che would do anything to help her. She trusted him. She knew she could. It was nice having someone to talk to about these things. "I wouldn't mind performing Acceleration or Visionary. Ugh, I can't decide." She grabbed her head with her hands, mussing her own hair as if she were ready to tear her hair out. She laughed a little.
"I wish I could be like Finn-senpai. He's so confident and outgoing. He doesn't care what anyone things about him. He's popular and everybody loves him....well...." She felt herself blushing. "...everybody but Kage-senpai, it seems."

Ché blinked and held up a hand when it looked like Suzu was mussing up her hair. "Ah, don't hurt yourself." He patted her hands, smiling but unsure, "I think you should do Acceleration, you love that song!"
He was quiet for a moment, replying to some text messages, then reached over for another KitKat, snapping it in half and putting one in his mouth. She was gushing about Yamamoto-Senpai a lot... And her blushing was a dead giveaway!
"Suzu-Chan, do you like Yamamoto-Senpai?" He questioned, eyes widening as he leaned forward. He didn't know him all too well, but apparently he was already in a relationship! He didn't want Suzu to turn into some kind of stalker or homewrecker! She wouldn't do that! Right??

Suzu grinned. She did love Acceleration. It was one of the first songs she performed and it was quite the crowd pleaser. Wait...crowd pleaser. "What about Honey Heartbeat? That's the one that's kind of a rap...well....rhythmic talking, to be honest." It usually got the crowd going, especially when she could get them to chime in.
Che's question caught her off guard. She'd been sipping her tea at the time and nearly choked. "Wha-huh?" She stared at him, coughing like a madwoman as she tried to regain her composure. "Well...." she bit her lip. "...yeah....but it's not anything serious. I just admire him. He's really confident and..."
She stared at her lap. "He's everything I'm not....but he's with Ryan-senpai, so there's no chance of that EVER happening."

"Honey Heartbeat sounds good!" Ché nodded, grinning brightly, "I'm sure that one will go down really well!" He nodded matter of factly, reaching for the pocky again, "At least that's what I'd do."
As soon as she started coughing he sat up, patting her back while she coughed and grabbing his handkerchief and handing it over to her, "Easy! I'm sorry!" Nice going Ché. Now you're killing your friends. His arms itched uncomfortably. He rubbed his arms uncomfortably as she spoke.
"Oh I get it, you just like how he acts!" Ché nodded, smiling slightly, "I don't think you should put yourself down like that Suzu-Chan, or continuously compare yourself to other people, I think you're great just the way you are! You have lots of good qualities that other people don't have so don't compare yourself to Finn-Senpai! Finn-Senpai is Finn-Senpai and you're you! I think you can be confident, you just need to practice rather than idolize someone else!" He smiled, "I'll help you! okay?"

Suzu nodded. It was a little more than that. Finn was handsome, smart, and total eye candy, but Suzu knew it would never happen. He was happy with Ryan and that's all Suzu wanted for him. Besides...there was a certain Host who had also caught her eyes. Not that it mattered. Kaoru was too engrossed in his brother to pay her any attention.
She smiled at Che, though. "Thanks, Che-kun," she said with a smile.
"But....anyway, let's talk about something happier. I just picked up an awesome old game off of this online bidding site. I think my dad's starting to get suspicious of where the money came from." She reached over to the entertainment system, picking up an old NES cartridge for Zelda.
"I played this when I was really little, but Yuri accidentally broke it. I can't believe I found it."

"If he asks, you can always say I lent you the money to get it." Ché smiled, taking out his phone and searching for Marionette no Kokoro. He hadn't heard it in a while and he couldn't quite remember how it went, "You said you're doing Marionette no Kokoro, right?"
Nodding to himself he set it down on the table, selecting the first video from the list on YouTube. "It's always nice when you find old stuff from when you were younger." As the music started playing Ché listened to the lyrics quietly but the further it went on the more his face fell. Eventually it came to an end and he looked uncomfortable again.
"Suzu-Chan... This is-- I don't-- umm..." He tapped his nails on the table quietly, "Is this supposed to be aimed at Finn-Senpai?"

"Yeah, but then he'd get on me about taking money from my friends," she said with a laugh. She fired up the game as he went searching on youtube.
It was weird, hearing herself on someone else's phone. When Yuri listened to her cds at home, it was even weirder, but she tried to refrain from singing along with herself.
Che's question caused her to stare. About Finn? Why would it be?
"Wha-no! Che-kun, I don't even write my songs! My Producer picks them, I just sing them!" It was true. The agency usually didn't let the idols pick their own songs. Suzu had wanted to write her own stuff, but she never felt any of it was any good.
"You think I should pick something else...?"

"Well..." Ché frowned for a minute, then his face lit up in a grin, "Just tell him you borrowed the game from me! Then he doesn't have to be suspicious over anything!" He nodded, smiling to himself and shifting his jacket, reaching over to pick up another KitKat.
At Suzu's protests, he blinked then shook his head, "N-No! It's a good song! I just don't want people to speculate or for you to get in trouble, that's all! But if it's not about Finn-Senpai, I suppose it's all fine!"
Pulling his bag close, he found his maths books and his homework and started working through it quietly. "Suzu-Chan, do you ever think about what you'll do after school? After being an idol..." He looked down, "I hear such terrible things about what happens in the Idol industry... getting kicked out for being too old and managers abusing their positions..." He frowned, then looked up at her, "You'd tell me if something bad was happening, wouldn't you?"

"Well...I can't see him being angry with me if I borrowed it," she said. "Thanks, Che-kun!"
She looked thoughtful at his question. "Well....the agency usually has idols graduate at twenty-one. In fact, one of the girls that used to work for the agency just graduated. She got this big movie gig, though, and I think she decided to focus on acting." Suzu shrugged. "I always thought I'd go on to work here in the shop. Dad's teaching me. I'm a pretty good cook, but my bento always come out really messy."
She felt her cheeks flushing a deep red. "I always...had this little dream of living here above the shop once I graduate....finding someone to love...and raising a family." She looked over at him a moment.
"Kinda silly, huh? Me, being girly?" she laughed a little.

"Really? Huh." Ché frowned, tilting his head, "My cousin's favourite idol just graduated and I think she's 26...? Sayumi... something." He shook his head and then smiled slightly, "Maybe she's with a different agency."
He was quiet as he listened, nodding every so often, "Maybe you just rush things Suzu-Chan! Maybe if you were a bit slower and careful they'd look just as good as they taste!" He nodded to himself and then grinned, "Maybe when the shop closes today we could try making bento together and you can try and practice a bit more!"
As she continued to talk his face fell slightly. Finding someone and raising a family was... girly? He frowned, looking down at the gathered sweets on the table and breaking another KitKat.
It was like hearing his dad in his head over and over again. 'Don't be such a girl! You're a boy aren't you? Be a man!'
He was quiet, eating the KitKat quietly, "I don't think wanting to do that is girly..." He was quiet again for a moment, "Would it be a bad thing if you wanted to do something girly? I think you should just do what you want to do and not worry about whether it's girly or not."

"Dad DOES constantly tell me to slow down. Do I really rush that much?" she asked Che. She remembered fencing practices where Kage's older brother would warn her not to rush into things, to take it slow and study her opponent. Che was certainly better than her in that regard. Suzu took up fencing to help with her balance. She found later that she really liked it. It was a great work out and a lot of fun.
"I'd like that. I don't think I've ever cooked for you before, actually." She was constantly bringing bemto to school to share with her classmates and with the Host Club. It was usually always gone before she could offer some to Che's class.
"Everyone always compares me to a boy," she explained to Che, "...too sporty, too manly. Not girly enough. A couple of the boys as school said that's why I cant get a boyfriend and why I don't have a lot of clients."
She shrugged. "Aneki complains about it, too, says I should be 'more romantic' and 'less like a boy'." She shrugged. "I've just never really had anyone to be 'more romantic' about."

"You rush around like a headless chicken." Ché laughed weakly, "You never really have much of a capacity for patience and you like to do things fast!" He rubbed the back of his neck, "I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, just as long as you're aware of it." He looked through the sweets again, checking his phone again then looking back to his homework sheet, crossing something out and replacing it.
"Yeah! That would be nice! I'm not very good at making stuff but I can make it look kind of nice?" He grinned, "As I say, we should go down when the shop closes!"
He listened quietly as Suzu continued to speak and he hummed quietly, tapping his nails absentmindedly on the table, "I think everyone has so many expectations of how to do things and what to look like... I think it's good that you're being yourself." He looked up finally, "I don't think it matters that you like the things you like... I don't think you need to be romantic to be happy." He smiled brightly, "I think as long as being you makes you happy then that's what's important!"
But then again, he thought, practice what you preach...
He held over a pocky biscuit to her and smiled, "I think if those people make you feel sad or insecure, you shouldn't be around them. There's nothing wrong with that."

Suzu grinned at Che. He was always so nice. She took the pocky and nodded. "You're right. Besides, YOU like me for who I am, and that's what matters: What my FRIENDS think." She turned her attention back to the game. The moment the nostalgic 8-bit music began to play, she let out an overdramatic sigh.
"I wish idols could like....make 8-bit versions of their songs. I'd love to hear a 8-bit version of Acceleration." She laughed a little and began playing, cursing every now and then when she died or did something wrong.
"You wanna try?" she asked, offering him the controller.

"I think that's what fan edits are for." Ché smiled slightly, "You should check out Nico Nico Douga sometime. I'm sure somebody has done an 8-bit edit." He gave a slight side shrug.
At being offered the controller he looked down at his books for a moment, "Sure." He put his pen down, taking the controller and starting to play, "Don't you have homework too Suzu-Chan?" He was quiet for a minute, still playing, "I thought everyone got math work this week."
He was quiet as he continued to play and then looked up, "Isn't the first year's class trip being thought about too? Aren't votes being collected in for that?" He frowned, "We haven't spoken about it yet in 1-B, have you spoken about it in your homeroom?"
